"Are you okay?" Ashley leaned over and whispered, "You got really pale all of a sudden."

Ashley's words registered in my ears, but it took my mind a few seconds to process past my shock. I realized I still had a job to do and needed to shake this off the best I could.

"Yeah," I whispered back, "I'm okay."

Jonathan and Samantha were very touchy-feely. Even when their kisses stopped, one of them constantly had a hand on the other. I was trying my best to not let it bother me, but I knew the struggle would continue.

"Aww, aren't you two the cutest!" Ashley said, suddenly changing her tone from the disgust she had shown earlier, "How did you two end up meeting?"

I'm sure I knew the real answer.

"We actually met a year ago through some mutual friends. We hit it off immediately and have been dating ever since. I don't get to see her as often as I'd like, but we make the long distance thing work," Jonathan answered.

"So, Samantha, what do you do for a living?" Ashley asked.

"I'm a travel writer. I travel to different locations and write about each locale. It can be really fun work, but it is also very taxing," Samantha said with a smile.

"She actually just got back from Mexico," Jonathan continued, "She was exhausted when she got here. I don't see how she does it all. I travel one time and I'm ready to rest for a month and she is travelling all the time."

"She is tired because I wore her ass out," I thought to myself.

Ashley said, "That's so interesting! I love traveling. I'm actually trying to plan a summer trip to Spain next year. I've heard it is just magical."

"Oh, I love Spain! I actually need to run into the kitchen and check on the dip I've got in the oven. You want to come with me and I can tell you about some of my favorite things to do there?"

"That'd be great!"

Ashley and Samantha both stood up and made their way toward the kitchen. Jonathan moved over to the couch and sat across from me.

"Girl talk," he chuckled, "So, tell me man, how is Ash in bed?"

"What?!?" I responded shocked at how straightforward he was being.

"Oh come on, they are having girl talk so we've got to have our guy talk. Look I'll start! I know that Sam might not look it, but she is an absolute freak in the bedroom. She is just so horny all the time. Sometimes I'm not even really in the mood, but I do it anyway because she does such a good job."

"I really don't want to talk about this," I said standing up, "I need to go use the restroom."

"Dude, don't be such a prude."

I ignored Jonathan and made my way to the half bathroom in the hallway. My stomach was beginning to churn as scenes of Samantha with another man played out in my mind. As I walked past the kitchen, I looked in and saw Ashley and Samantha talking and smiling. It was evident that this situation was not bothering Samantha the same way it was bothering me.

I closed the bathroom door and starred into the mirror. Ashley had been right, I did look pale. However, I didn't look as sick as I felt. At the beginning of the night I had never expected to see my girlfriend being so friendly with another man. Deep down, I always knew that she was. It was part of her job, just like it was a part of mine. But, seeing it now changed everything. Witnessing a man grabbing a butt that just days before I had held as we cuddled by the beach, hurt me deeply.

Turning on the faucet, I splashed some water in my face. Powering through was the only option I had. I knew I couldn't tell Ashley what was going on, and I doubted I would get a moment alone with Samantha. If Samantha was able to act like nothing was wrong, then I could do it too.
