It had been a couple months since your audition and you had started to accept that you hasn't got the role. I mean, as If you would be working with such amazing people! You got out of bed and went over to your dressing table, yawning and stretching your arms wide. As you checked your phone, you had 20 missed calls from a random number.
"Spam" you thought to yourself
Oh how wrong you were! The phone rang again and you decided to pick up and tell the person to stop calling or you would block them.
"Whoever this is, stop calli-" you were stopped by a very excited female voice
"Y/n! Thank god you picked up. It's Jodie, Jodie Whittaker! You got the part!"
"SORRY I WHAT?!" You said, excited.
"You got the part! You're playing my companion!" Jodie answered.
"Omg I can't believe this! Sorry to be a pain but when do we film?" You questioned.
"Oh right sorry, basically come back to the audition place and you'll be given all the details. Plus you can meet the fam! Also Chris wants a word with you, nothing bad don't worry!" Jodie quickly said, she was clearly excited.
"Ok! I'll see you later then Jodie. bye!" You pressed end call.
Your mind was racing and you were so excited! Walking over to your closet, you thought about how cool it would be to work on doctor who. Let alone being a companion! You decided on what to wear and ended up picking some olive green tie up trousers, a white shirt with plants on and tied your h/c hair up in a bun.

After you set off towards the bbc studio, you once again listened to yellow on your AirPods, you heard the train announcing kings cross station, you went out of kings cross and walked to the studio, you showed the same lady from a couple months ago your pass and were let in. It was deja vu! When you arrived at the meeting room, you were greeted by a massive hug from Jodie and a friendly smile from Chris. You had the meeting with him first...
Jodie held her thumbs up before she was dragged away by some of the crew.
"So y/n, congrats on getting the role! We have alot to talk about." Chris said, laying down files on the table.
"Where can we start?" You asked.
"So here is your filming timetable and 1st episode script. We begin filming next week and you'll have to do travelling with us, I recommend going home later, packing all your stuff, coming back tomorrow and we can accommodate you from there. Also in the hotel tomorrow you will be sharing a corridor with Jodie, Mandip, Tosin and Bradley." He remarked.
"Right ok I've got it so far. Anything else?" You were nodding and taking in all information.
"Yes! One last thing. I suggest you get close with Jodie. There's a bit of a spark between your characters in the season." He said and showed you the script.
You read the scene and raised your eyebrows. You were going to have to kiss her. It was only a kiss but to you it was a whole lot more than that, you would be kissing your 4 year celebrity crush on television, not the best thought in your head at the moment.
"Wow.. was not expecting that. That's totally fine with me." You agreed, a little too quickly.
"Great, you should have seen how eager Jodie was!" Chris said, laughing.
Now that caught your attention. Jodie Whittaker, eager to kiss you? Surely this couldn't be happening!
"Ok then! I better head off now, I have to meet the fam!" You said, blushing at what he had said earlier.
"Bye y/n, nice seeing you" Chris waved.
You smiled end headed down the corridor to see Jodie waving her arms like a kid.
"Y/n! This is Mandip" she introduced you to a dark haired woman, slightly shorter than you.
"YAZ! Sorry I mean Mandip. I really Love doctor who!" You stumbled on your words.
"It's fine! Lovely to meet you y/n!" Mandip replied.
"And this is tosin and Brad!" Jodie gestured to the two men stood behind Mandip, one was tall and black, the other quite old.
"Oh my god this is like a dream! I'm meeting the guy off the Chase! And Ryan! Sorry! I mean Tosin." You said, slapping your hand on your forehead.
"Nah don't apologise it's nice to meet you y/n" Bradley said.
"Hiya y/n! Jodie's told us loads about you!" Tosin said before getting an elbow to the ribs from Jodie. You smiled at that.
"It's great to meet you all! Truthfully, I can't believe I'm working with you lot. I only find out I was playing the part this morning!" You smiled and explained the whole spam caller thing, earning a couple laughs.
After you were all acquainted, it was getting late and you started to head back to the station, you had ALOT of packing to do!
