No time like the present

The rest of the party was just a regular party and you had the best time with Jodie after the kiss. She seemed like she was getting closer to you but you really hoped she wasn't playing with your feelings.

You were just heading out with Ava ahead of Jodie and Mandip (they wanted to talk as they hadn't seen each other much all evening).

"Soooo.. how was itttt?" Ava asked you.
"It was so, magical. I couldn't have done it without the help of you and Mandip though!! So thank you!" You said back to her
"Glad we could help, you're so cute together it hurts!!" Ava said to you
"Likewise!!" You smiled at her and Jodie and Mandip walked back over to you.

"Hey y/n, Jodie wanted to ask you something." Mandip said, elbowing Jodie.
"What!? Oh- um yea.." Jodie said, nervously.
"What is it?" You asked her.
"Um.. I was wondering if you wanted to come back to my place and maybe watch a film??" She said, you could tell it took a lot of courage.

"I'd love to!! Yes omg that would be amazing!!" You said, slightly overwhelmed.
"Great!! Come on then!" She grabbed your hand and said bye to the others before leading you over to her car. You felt that electric buzz at the contact of your hands again. The both of you waved at Ava and Mandip before getting in the car.

The car journey was fairly normal, you just chatted a bit about music and what film you were going to watch. You eventually decided on E.T, one of Jodie's favourite films.

After arriving at her place, Jodie placed a takeaway order of pizza and offered you some spare clothes to change into as all you had was your suit.

"So, the pizzas are ordered and you've got some clean clothes on, I'll quickly go get changed and then we can do something ok??" She said, smiling. She sounded exactly like the doctor.
"That sounds great!" You said to her, smiling.

After Jodie got back, you both went into the kitchen and opened a bottle of wine. She poured you a glass and as she handed you it, your hands brushed together, causing a deep blush to form across your face. Jodie clearly noticed this and smiled. You sat in her room as she was getting the film ready.

A short while later the pizza arrived, she payed and brought it into her room. She was just settling into bed but you didn't want to be rude so just sat on the floor. Jodie furrowed her brow and pointed next to her.
"Y/n. Can you sit up here please??" She said gently.
"Are you sure?" You asked back.
"I'm more than sure." She replied.
You moved up onto her bed and she put her arm out, inviting you in to a cuddle.

It was so hard to resist so you moved into the comfort of her arms slowly. You had your head against her chest and could feel her heart beating.

Pat. Pat. Pat. Pat.

It was such a soothing sound and it almost put you under a sleeping spell. She started to stroke your head and gently kissed the top of it. You hummed softly and she pulled you closer to her before clicking play on the film.

The pizza was so good and so was the film. She turned the TV off and pulled the cover over you both.

"Y/n.." she said softly. "Would you want to sleep here tonight?" She asked.
"I'd love to!" You smiled and kissed her cheek.
She blushed and stroked your head.

After laying in her arms for s couple minutes you started to feel drowsy and could feel your eyes slowly closing. You were falling asleep and couldn't really here Jodie's voice anymore but you made out a
"goodnight y/n..."

A/N- what's this!? I've uploaded two parts within a day!! This is a rare occasion 😂.
