A/n- hi! Me again, just thought I would say thank you so much to anyone reading this I can't believe this story is at 200 reads it's insane! I'm having a lot of writers block and was planning to soon start a pirates of the Caribbean book, meaning I would have to change my username and pfp etc. would anyone want to read that or would I just be writing it for the sake of it. Anyway enjoy the chapter :D

"I think it's just down here." Y/n said as she walked down a street, looking for the coffee shop. "Ah yes here! Nelly's coffee house! See, told you I would find it!" You stated, lightly punching Jodie's arm.

"Ooo it looks really nice come on." Jodie excitedly said, leading you inside.

The cafe was a beautiful rustic sort of design with plants hanging from the rooves along with fairy lights strung across from pillar to pillar. There was a chalkboard on the wall to show the menu and the aroma of ground coffee and freshly baked goods filled the air. On the counter was a display case filled with delicious looking cakes and pastries. There was an entire shelf of cacti and you smiled, knowing that the owner must have a good taste in decorating.

"Hey welcome to Nelly's! How can I help you?" A young woman said from the counter.

"Hi! We were looking to get a table. Would that be ok?" Y/n asked.

"Yes of course! Take a seat anywhere!" She smiled.

You and Jodie sat down in a table beside the window, admiring the view of the outside before getting out a menu and looking at it's content.

"OH MY GOD! They have Toasties!" Jodie said, way too excited.

"Ok.. is that what you're having then Jodie?" Y/n asked

"No I was thinking about having soup." (Nobody needs soup more than me) Jodie said

"Wha- but you just were saying about the toasties." You smacked your hand to your head.

"I know but there's soup y/n!" Jodie said. She was like a kid sometimes.

You browsed the menu and finally decided what you were going to order.

"So what can I get you?" The waitress came over to ask.

"I'll have a mango and passion fruit smoothie and a chorizo and mozzarella toastie. Oh and can I also have a slice of chocolate brownie. Thank you!" You said and smiled warmly.

The waitress wrote down your order and looked at you, quite admiringly if you did say so yourself.

"Of course! And for you?" She asked Jodie

"Yes. Leek and potato soup, strawberry milkshake and a chocolate chip cookie please." Jodie answered bluntly.

You gave her a slightly dissaproving look as if to say -that was rude-. She looked very unimpressed and you wondered why. When the waitress walked away you asked her what was wrong.

"I don't like the way she looked at you." Jodie said, gesturing to the waitress, who was beginning to do the drinks.

"Oh Jodie come on Shes a waitress calm down." You said

"I don't care, she obviously likes you." Jodie said, slumping back in her chair."

Was she jealous!? No y/n don't be stupid she wouldn't be.

"No she doesn't, she's just being nice calm down." You said, giving her a reassuring look. To be honest, you didn't really like the way the waitress looked at you either.

"I'm going to the toilet I'll be back." You said. Walking off.

Jodies POV:

I watched y/n walk off, thinking of the way that waitress looked at her. There's no way I have feelings for y/n. Jodie come on you're going through a breakup you can't feel like this. UGHHHH

The waitress started to walk back over to the table. She had a piece of paper in hand.

"Hey. Is your friend single? And can you give her this when she gets back please. Thanks." She handed you the paper and walked back to the counter. Starting to prep the food.

Please tell me this isn't what I think it is.

It was a phone number.

Y/n's POV:

As I got back from the toilet, Jodie looked really worried, I took a seat and felt eyes on me. The waitress. The temptation to flip her off was real.

"Jodie what's up?" You asked, taking a seat at the table again.

"That bloody waitress. She told me to give you this." She said, handing you the paper.

You read it and looked at Jodie, a bit fed up.

"After we've had some food. I'll sort her out then we're leaving ok." You said, sternly.

"Mhm." Jodie answered.

After the food arrived you talked and laughed for a bit. The toastie was actually really good and there was now a couple other people in the cafe so the waitress was occupied. Jodie and finished eating and you were having the last few bites of brownie.

"Jodie, what are you gonna do about Chris?" You asked, slightly nervous of the answer to that question.

"I don't know. I don't really understand breakups but he said he's sorting things out." Jodie answered.

Some time later you had both finished and were just getting ready to leave. After picking up your bag and telling Jodie to meet you outside. You walked over to the counter, very annoyed.

"I'm not interested and I like someone else so leave me the fuck alone." You answered, leaving the paper on the counter before storming out.

"What did you say?" Jodie asked.

"I told her I wasnt interested and liked someone else." You said, beginning to walk back to the tube station.

"Oh. You like someone??" Jodie asked, slightly disappointed..

"Yeah why?" You asked, wondering why she would be sad.

"No reason." Jodie replied, walking behind you.
