As soon as both of them entered their apartment, Karishma asked Haseen once again, "Bataye, kya chal raha hai, aap ke dimag main?"

Haseena looked at her surprisingly, "Bata do diya tha aap ko sab, aab kya sunana cha rahi hai aap," she said as she moved towards her bedroom.

"Woh aadha sach tha," Karishma said while holding her hand and making her look towards her.

Haseena looked at her face for some time and after taking her hand off from Karishma's grip, she sat on the chair.

"Abandonment ka dar hai, humain," she said faintly. "Aap ko Pata hai, hum bachpan se apni Ammi ki attention pane ke liye taraste rahe hain aur unke paas hamare siwa har cheez ke liye time tha," she scoffed. "Aur phir abbu ki death ke baad to hum bilkul hi akele ho gayi the....Isliye hum ne apne aap ko padhai me busy kar liya," she looked at Karishma, "Aur phir Jab hum aap se miley, aap humein sab se alag lagi; aap doosron ki tarah humain kush karne ke liye kuch bhi nahi keh deti thi, aap ko pasaon se lago nahi tha, app humari liye dusron se ladhti thi, hum par gussa karti thi lekin hamara khayal bhi rakhti thi," her voice cracked, "Moreover, hum aapke center of attention the.......Bus aap ki yehi sab batain humare dil ko bha gayi thi aur aap humain ache lagne lagi thi," as she finished speaking her eyes starting to well up.

Karishma, who was unaware of these facts looked at her intently and without interrupting Haseena, she squatted in front of her and held Haseena's hand between hers, allowing her to speak further.

"Aap humein ek bar chor kar ja chuki hai, lakin hamain dar lagta hai aap ke kareeb aate hue. Agar aap dobara se chod kar chale gi humein toh....Is martaba hum apne aap ko sambhal nahi payne gaye," she said as tears started rolling down from her eyes just on thought of being apart from Karishma.

Without saying anything Karishma made her hold strong on Haseena's hand while rubbing the back of Haseena's hand with her thumb, she took a sharp breath, "Humain nahi Pata, hum kese yakeen dilaain aap ko, ke abb agar kuch bhi ho jaye hum aap ko chor kar kahin nahi jayin gaye.....Us waqt hum apne aap se bagh rahe the, aap se to ek pal bhi dur nahi hue.....Yakeen janiye in teen saloon ma ek esa lamha nahi guzra jab hum ne aapko yaad na kiya ho....Us waqt aap se dur jate waqat humain laga tha ke ager hum app se door rahe gaye to ye jo infatuation ha wo khatam ho jaye gi.....Lakin is baat ka andaza aap se alag ho kar hua, ke wo infatuation kabhi thi hi nahi, hum aap ko pasand karte the aur us waqt se karte the jab se hum ne aap ko pheli martaba dheka tha...Lakin ye realization humein aap se dur ho kar hui." she said as she placed her hand on Haseena's cheek and started wiping off her tears.

"I want to trust you but nahi kar paa rahe hain, hum koshish kar rahe hain, humain thoda sa waqt dijiye," Haseena said while placing her hand on Karishma's hand.

"Hum aapka intezaar kar rahe hain, Befikar rahye, waqt hi waqt hai aapke pass," Karishma said as she leaned over Haseena's face while holding her face between her palms; she placed her lips on her forehead to assure her that she is there for her.

Haseena removed Karishma's hand from her face gently, "Chaliye change kar lijiye, phir Khana khate hain."

"Hmmm," Karishma just nodded and then both of them moved towards their respective rooms.

After some time Karishma called out to Haseena, "Come out. What is taking so long? Let's have some food."

Haseena came out in her shorts and tees with her wet tresses around her shoulder.
