Upon her arrival at the thana, Haseena was informed that her mother was waiting for her in the cabin. She moved towards her cabin in a swift motion and as soon as she entered, she inquired, "Kya chayie Ammi, aap ko?"

"Hum aap se kal ke bare me baat karne aye hain," Noor-Jahan Begum said while looking at her.

"Lakin humein aap se shaadi ke baare koi baat nahi karni, humara jawab ab bhi wohi hai," Haseena uttered in a subversive manner.

"Aur waja jan sakte hain," Noor-Jahan Begum inquired in a displeased tone.

"Ji, Bilkul," Haseena looked at Karishma who was also looking back at her and was actively listening to the mother-daughter conversation. She called out Karishma's name.

After hearing her name, Karishma entered Haseena's cabin and upon Haseena's request, she closed all the doors and windows to avoid any eavesdropping. Once she was done with the task, she stood right beside Haseena's chair quietly.

"To aap ko waja jani thi, yeh hain waja. Miley inse, yeh hain humari partner, best friend, and roommate. Aur yehi hain wo jin ke sath hum apni sari zindagi guzarna chahte hain," Haseena said without breaking eye contact with her mother.

Noor-Jahan was infuriated at Haseena's confession...."Aap pagal ho Gayi hai? Aap ko samaj a raha hai, aap kya bol rahi hain?"

"Ammi! Aap ko lag raha hai, keh hum mazak kar rahe hain, Hum inko aap se kal hi milvana chate the, lakin yeh yah per mojood nahi thi, aur humein pata hai jab tak aap ko waja nahi pata chale gi tab tak aap hamare picha nahi chorain gi, to yehi hain waja," Haseena spoke without a tremor in her voice with full confidence.

Karishma was staring at Haseena who had just made the very first public statement about their relationship. At that moment, Karishma didn't know what to do or say. She has always known Haseena as a private person, she loves to keep things under wrap and very few people around her know what is actually going on in her life.

"Hum aap ko apni property se be-dhakel kar dain gaye," Noor-Jaha Begum made another futile attempt to reverse her decision.

"Ammi, aap ko lagta hai, aap ki ye dhamki hum par asar kare gi? Jitna hai humare pass, hum us main bahut khush hain," Haseena held Karishma's hand and while continuously looking at Noor-Jahan's eyes she placed a kiss on her hand.

Noor-Jahan Begum looked at her disgustingly....."Do you know, whatever you are doing is a sin?"

"Aaahh! Sin," Haseena got up from her chair and moved towards Noor-Jahan's chair, she squatted in front of her and started speaking, "I have spent my whole life up until now being a dutiful daughter to you but I haven't gotten anything back from you. Do a mother's abandonment of their child count as a sin?" Haseena inquired in a distasteful manner.

After getting no response from Noor-Jahan she continued, "If it is a sin, then, sin it is. Now, I have an innate desire to taste the forbidden fruit and I am not backing down without tasting it regardless of the consequences."

Haseena was about to add something more when she felt a tight slap on her face and the impact of this slap made her head hit the corner of the table causing her forehead to bleed.
