Wake up. Wake up. Wake up. It's dark in here but my curtains are open. I got out the bed to turn on a light. I flipped the switch... It didn't work. Are you serious. I plug in my charger and my phone , it didn't work. I went downstairs to flip the box that didn't work. We don't have power GREAT! I used my laptop to charge my phone and took a shower before that went out too. I put on some dark jeans and a long sleeve shirt and put my brother in the tub. I put him in a towel and sat him on the bed. I threw him some boxers and socks while I find him an outfit. I just gave him a blue shirt and some jeans. Now where is my doctors paper. I went in my room and read the paper. OMG I could've drove my car! It say Wednesday. Wednesday past its Friday. I put on my school sweatshirt and nikes. I put my laptop in a bag with my chargers headphones and wallet. I went back in my brother room and put his Jordan's and a sweatshirt on him with a scarf. Lets go get Jazmyn and off to Johns house.

We walked down the stairs I opened the door and it was a short Caramel lady ringing the bell.

"Can I help you?"

"Yes are you Kim?"

"No who's asking?"

"I'm with the child service care and your mother called us this week to tell us to pick you and your brother up and put you in a loving home"

"Excuse me? Is this a joke?"

"No ma'am this is the paper your mother signed Kim and your father Signed here Joseph"

"So what do you want?"

"We came to tell you pack all of you and your brothers belongings and we will be back to take you to your new home"

"Nah this a trick excuse me but I was on my way out"

"She said you would do this , so go check your parents room and then come back down here to talk"

"Mmmmh stay on the porch I don't trust just anyone"

"Fine by me"

I closed the door and locked it. Is she playing with me? Is this real ? My brother is on the stairs crying and I felt it in my eyes. I ran up the stairs to their room. I opened the door and everything was gone except a note and a bag. I grabbed the note first who knows what's in this bag.

Dear Kai ,

Hi honey , this is your mother telling you we went back to India. I'm sorry we couldn't take you or tell you because I knew you would argue and your father would get in trouble. When we left India we had you and the people didn't know I was pregnant. I'm sorry that we couldn't tell you because I know how you are , you would track everyone down just to help your family. We didn't want you to get hurt or your brother , I love you dearly so look in our bedroom closet first then look in the bag. We the child care services come that mean I have found someone special for you to live with. Please Kai take care of your brother and listen to the people I really want you to have a good life. If you need anything call the lady that came to get you and she will contact us. I'm so sorry we had to leave you it was for your protection. I love you both.

I stood up off the floor from where I was reading the letter. My feelings weren't sad even though my heart was hurt I didn't cry, instead I walked to the closet like the letter told me. I took a deep breathe and slowly opened the door.

"Oh My GOSH" Everything...

She bought me clothes shoes bags things from when I was younger was in there. All my things from Chicago was here everything was from my hometown my place my heart Chicago! I just left it all there and walked to the bag. I carefully opened the bag and there was a paper. I took it out and read it. It was my mom and dad on the front page , are they in charge over there? Wait so my mom and dad is famous? That's why they don't go any where unless dressed to be hidden? Really they hid the one secret I would love to know about from me? What else is in this bag. I looked inside another note.
