Chapter 16

We were at my home. I kissed him and led him to the bed. We lay on the bed and he came on top of me. I took off his shirt and he was holding mine.

B: Are you sure it's ok?

Me: Yes.

He took off my shirt and kissed me again. He started to get downwards while he was kissing me and came back up again. He was about to take off my bra, but then memories of Chad were flooding my mind and I stopped him.

Me: Sorry, Barry... I just can't. Not yet.

B: Don't worry, there is no problem.

We dressed up, cuddled and fell asleep together. I felt so safe in his arms and that's a feeling I never felt in my life before. I managed to fall asleep so easily and peacefully, knowing that I was next to him and in his arms. In the morning when I woke up, he wasn't there. I was about to stand up when I saw him next to me in the bed with a tray in his hands.

Me: Ooh, breakfast in bed?

B: Yes. -He replied and kissed me.

Me: When did you make all these? -Then I understood what I was asking, because he is the Flash- let it go that was a silly question.

We ate the breakfast and then went to S.T.A.R. labs. We entered the room where everyone was in and we were holding hands.

Ci: When did that happen?

Me: Yesterday.

Frost: Finally, it was about time.

Ci: So, why don't you take a day off?

Frost: Yes, we can handle the responsibility, if anything happens.

Fireblast: We are team Flash, we can handle it all.

B: Vanessa, what do you think?

Me: I don't know, whatever you say.

Without anyone saying anything else, the view changed. Suddenly, I saw the sea in front of me. Before I could say anything, I heard him talk.

B: Welcome to Hawaii.

Me: Are you kidding me?

B: No. We will spend our day by the waves. I can teach you how to surf, if you like.

We went to the store to buy swimsuits. We went to the beach, placed our towels on the sand and sat down. We were all alone. Despite the fact that he's fast and thin, he has a really nice body and is so buildup.

B: Will you join me? Or are you not coming?

Me: No, I'd better not.

B: Sorry for the question, but do you know how to swim?

I went to the sea, but I saw that she hesitated so I went next to her and spoke to her. When she took off her dress, exposing her beautiful and fit body, I noticed that she is full of scars; on her back, her hands, her legs, her stomach... all over her body. I was just watching her. With this swimsuit she is even sexier. When she asked me if everything was okay, I didn't answer, I just took her in my arms and went to the shore and let her down. I was bent and touching the sea when I glanced at her.

V: Don't even think about it.

I smiled and started splashing water towards her. She did the same thing. We were soaking wet and we looked each other in the eyes. I kissed her and took her in my arms.

We had so much fun. We swam together, he taught me surfing and, unfortunately, the day was over quickly. We returned home, took a bath, watched a movie and fell asleep.
The next day, we went to S.T.A.R. labs.

Ci: Finally, you're back.

B: Why? What happened?

C: A new meta-human, named Magenta, showed up and she can control metal.

R: She is so young and she's been through a lot.

I: I did a little research. Her name is Frankie Kane. When she was young, she became an orphan and for many years she moved on from the one family to the other, through the foster system. Every time the conditions became worse. In her file is written that in order to manage the pain, she created a second personality. The so-called Magenta. At some point a family adopted her and it's come to light that the man abused her. Then the accident with the accelerator happened and she became a meta-human. As far as we understand, Magenta is in control.

B: Vanessa, you can help her.

Me: Me? How?

B: You said that you changed Grodd, so you can do the same thing.

Me: And you said that it was a bad idea. Guys I don't know, it's a big responsibility. She is just a child. I don't think that I can succeed.

B: Exactly, she is a kid and as a kid you went through so much. I believe in you.

Frost: After all that happened, she is not a child anymore. But she needs our help. Vanessa you can help her.

At that moment, Barry's phone started ringing. It was Joe and he said that Magenta was ready to attack a rapist in prison.

B: Now it's time.

Before I was able to complete my sentence, we were at the prison in front of Magenta.

Magenta: Ah, the city's heroes who came to save a rapist.

Me: You are wrong, Frankie. We didn't come to save him; we are here to save you.

I said showing her some of my scars. I understood that what I said made her furious.

Magenta: Why are you comparing our pasts? Everyone has been through different things.

She was ready to hit me with the metal, when she suddenly stopped.

Me: I can help you fight your pain.

Then her eyes turned in her natural color and Frankie spoke.

Frankie: And who is going to help those who are like me?

Me: We will do this together, Frankie. That was the reason I became like this, to help those who are like us and need us.

After that she came with us to S.T.A.R. labs. She met the whole team and learnt their identities. After a while she asked me

Frankie: So what have you been through?

Me: We will talk about this tomorrow. Today we will celebrate for our new member. You will come with us at the bar I work.

When the night came, we went to the bar. I introduced Frankie to my dad and then Nolan arrived.

N: Hey sis, how are you? Who is this girl, a friend of yours?

Me: Nolan, let me introduce you to the newest member of our team, Frankie. Frankie this is my brother, Nolan.

N: Nice to meet you. -He said, smiled and raised his hand for a handshake.

Frankie: Nice to meet you too. -She said and smiled too.

The whole night Frankie and Nolan talked nonstop and smiled at each other.
