i woke up when i felt some hand touch my cheeks.
i slowly open my eyes and scratch it.
"your awake" i blurted then look at him directly.
he didn't speak.
"asan po ako" he said.
"hospital" i chuckled.
"po?" he said and about to stand when i stop him.
"you need to rest first, wag mong pilitin ang sarili mo." i said he look at me.
"sino po kayo?" he clueless asked.
"ako si irene, sorry." i gasped.
"nabangga kita" i said..
"ah yun po ba, maliit na bagay" he said that make me look at him so clueless.
"what?" i emitted he scoff.
"sanay na po ako mabangga" he said.
what?!
"ha? bakit? hindi ka ba binabantayan ng magulang mo?" i asked he silently laughed.
"wala po akong magulang" he sincerely said.
that make me shooked.
"san ka garud nakatira?" he turn his gaze on window.
"kahit saan po" he said.
"saan garud kita ihahatid pagkatapos nito?" i asked.
"sa labas po, kaya ko na po ang sarili ko" he said then he smile.
his smile is so priceless.
akalain mo ba naman, sa matatamis na ngiti na yan. wala pala siyang tahanan na masisilungan.
"anong pangalan mo" i asked, he smile again and put his finger on his head.
"david" he said.
"David?" i asked, thinking that he have a surname.
he raise his both shoulder
"wala ka ring apelyido? eh sinong nagpangalan sayo" i asked
"ako lang po, simula po kase nung nakatakas ako sa bahay ampunan nung 5yrs old ako sa lansangan na po ako tumira dun po sa ilalalim ng tulay sa david street" he said while he have a smile on his face
i also smile, this make me realize how bless i am because of ate.
ako na meron na ang lahat hindi parin masaya, samantalang itong batang to. wala sakanya ang lahat pero ang saya saya ng mga mata niya
we condensing a silent moment not until the doctor came in
"good afternoon misis--" i cut his words.
"miss. hindi pa ako kasal" i said then raise my eyebrows.
"okay miss, we find out that this kid is homeless or to cut the words, wala siyang mga magulang" he professional emitted.
"i know that doc, sinabi niya na" i said he chuckled.
"tomorrow pwede na siyang makalabas" he said.
"siguro naman hindi na sinabi ng bata to sayo" he added, this doctor is so yabang. bata pa kase kaya mahangin
i was about to spoke when david speak up.
"bakit po bukas pwede naman na po ngayon" he said, that make my eyes widden.
"uhmp" the doctor chuckled
"tol kaya ko na ang sarili ko" david said that make me simply laugh.
this kid is really a different
"doc pwede ba?" i asked.
"but he need to rest" he said.
"pre di uso saakin ang pahinga" david speak up again that make me caressed my forehead.
i badly want to laugh.
"pwede ba doc? i got his back i swear" i insisted, he slowly nood.
"make sure na magpapahinga ang bata, and please be sure na hindi mag ble-bleed ang sugat niya to avoid infection." he said, i nood.
"kung ganon, excuse my self i just fix the paper of the kid and the bill" he said, the i look at david he's smiling at me before we make a wave to the doctor at the same time.
"miss ang galing mo. ang cool mo ha" he said and make a bump with me.
"you know sometimes you need to zip your mouth" i said and pinch his cheeks
"may asawa ka po ba?" he asked.
i put my finger in my head and act like i thinking something gaya ng ginawa niya kanina
i saw his giggles
"asawa wala, pero boyfriend meron" i said. he nood.
"okay, dito ka lang muna ha. bayaran ko ang bill mo" i said he nood.
i was about to stand when i hear his tummy sounds. i think his hungry already.
i look at him
"don't worry mamaya kakain tayo" i said and kiss his forehead.
he make a thumbs up before i left out.
pumunta naman ako sa billing station and pay his payment.
ilang minuto din ako nagantay for the receipt bago ako bumalik kay david.
"are you still okay?" i asked, expecting that he didn't understand what i'm saying but i'm wrong.
he understands me.
"yep." he answered that make me shooked.
"akala niyo po ba hindi ako marunong magenglish, grabe ka naman po saakin, bago naman po ako sa tumakas sa ampunan tinuruan po kami ng mga madre" he said.
"no it's not like that nagulat lang ako. bibo ka pala eh" i said and caressed his face.
"let's go?" i asked. he's smile.
his eyes is full of bright and shine at the same time.
"oh dahan dahan" i said while guiding him to jumped down.
"kaya ko to miss" he said with a full of herself.
"talaga lang ha" i said then simply laugh.

pumunta naman kami sa parking lot para kunin yung car ko.
"kotse niyo po to?" he brightly asked
"yes, at dito tayo sasakay" i said.
"wow ang porma" he said that make me smile.
"sige na sumakay ka na po boss" i said and open the side door for him.
and he jumped in.
"san mo gustong kumain" i asked while i buckling his seatbelt.
"kahit saan po" he said.
"mcdo? you want that?" i asked he nood his head.
"pero before that can we please change our clothes? tiisin mo muna gutom mo pwede ba yon?" i asked.
"sanay naman na po ako" he said and change his expression. nawala yung kinang.
he's so soft yet so brave
"no that's not what i mean. okay okay di na tayo magpapalit ng damit pupunta na tayo sa mcdo" i said then a light in his eyes came back
gutom na gutom na siguro
"ayan, very good. happy ka na ulit" i said and pinch his cheeks
"thank you miss" he said i just kiss his cheeks, nagkaroon pa tuloy ako ng responsibility ng wala sa oras
