Ember's POV

"Get help!" The young man yelled to whoever was up there, before turning towards me.

His blue and red eyes glared at me... oh wait... the red eye had turned purple.

Where have I seen that?

"Are you an idiot?" I shouted. "This is a Netherkin!"

"She's friendly, you moron!" He shouted back.

"Who are you? The King of the Nether?" I asked. "Because why else are you defending this thing?"

I don't know what part of that made him angrier, but apparently something I said did.

He glared at me. "I've fought worst then you," he said, angrily. And that was probably true, the scar across his face did not look like it was from anybody. "I'd hate to fight you, but nobody hurts Stella."

Stella? Wait, is this Rain?

"Wait, hold on," I said, raising my arms up in surrender. "Look, I'm sorry, this was all just a misunderstanding."

But Rain was done listening.

I only had time to jump out of the way as he swung his sword at me. "Stop!" I shouted. "I didn't mean to! I swear!" But my attempt was in vain, because all that he did was try to attack me again.

Goodness? Does he ever listen to anyone? I thought as he knocked me down.

I closed my eyes as Rain got ready to kill me. Less than 48 hours and I'm about to die again. This really really sucks.

"What is going on?" Patrick yelled. "Rain? Is that you?"

"Stella? What happened to you?" Azura asked.

Oh, thank goodness.

I groaned with exhaustion, as I saw Rain's purple eye go back to normal.

"Ember is a friend of ours, Rain," Azura called down. "He means no harm."

Rain nodded and helped me up. "Okay, sorry about that," he said. "I just... don't like seeing Stella being attacked."

"That's understandable," I said, grinning. "Sorry, Stella, it's... well..." I struggled to come up with a polite way of saying "I don't trust Netherkin."

Stella waved her arm in dismissal. "Don't worry about that," she told me, before raising her voice. "Because this wasn't the first time SOMEBODY TRIED TO KILL ME."

"I said I was sorry!" An unfamiliar voice yelled.

"You did! Your partner was like 'let's kill her anyways.'!" Stella replied.

"It's our job, Stella," a different voice said

Oh, now I remember where I saw that purple eye. It was the color eye as Ceris.

Are they related? They might be. I wondered, as we reunited with the other Frostbourne.

Patrick stared at the two newcomers, the Netherkin was slightly younger than me and Rain, and gave them a disapproving look. "I thought you said that you would come back here safely." He said.

"Which we did," Rain said.

"Yeah, let's see," Patrick said. "You have a scar down your face and Stella has turned into a Netherkin, and it sounds like these two were hunting her down." He pointed to a man and a woman with gray skin.

"Yes, but nobody died, so we did come back here safely." Rain said, looking kinda mad.1

"Quick question," the man said. "How come Rain's eye changed to the eye of the Ender people?"

"Well, that's easy to answer," Ceris replied. "That's because Rain is the last Ender Watcher."
