???'s POV

We watched as Ember picked the Red Ender Eye up.

"Impressive," the man said. "I had my doubts that you could pull this off, but you surprised me! Well done, apprentice."

I stared at the older man, not saying anything, but yelling at him with my eyes.

Man I wished that looks could kill. I'd kill my mentor in an instant if I could.

"I didn't think you'd  have the guts, but you succeeded!" He continued. "That little hero is a fool! But I knew he'd pick up the Eye no matter what!"

Little hero? I blinked.

Noticing my confusion, my mentor smirked.

"Long ago, there was a prophecy about a boy on fire," he said. "He wasn't from this world, but believes that he is. And there is one clue that proves it's him."

He brought his voice down to a whisper. "Ring of fire,"

I didn't know what he was even remotely talking about. Was he talking about Wings of Fire?

"Ember Ayers," my mentor chuckled. "We'll meet one day. But not today, for now, let's focus on the present. Because, little hero, chosen one of the prophecy or not, you're still a pathetic coward. You train everyday and yet you are still weak. You have a very high IQ, but your friends believe that you're just a stupid kid. But you're not, Ember. They just haven't seen your potential yet. But they will one day... they will! But even when they all hate you, you will stay loyal to them. And that loyalty... is going to be your downfall."

I cleared my throat and my mentor jumped, and stared at me in surprise, as if he had forgotten that  I was still  there. "You're dismissed," he told me.

I didn't move however, I just glared at him with my dark brown eyes.

"I succeeded in the mission," I said. "I got Ember to grab that eye and put it in his inventory. So tell me, WHERE IS MY SISTER!"

My mentor just laughed. "Oh my favorite apprentice," he said. "I can't tell you just yet! I'm not finished with you."

I glared at him, taking deep breaths. I wanted to strangle him until he suffocated. I wanted to make him suffer.

No, not yet. I told myself. I need to wait. But soon, soon I can have my revenge.

I relaxed and gave  him a calm look. "Very well," I said.

"I knew you'd see it my way," he said, smirking.

"Farewell sir," I said, leaving his room.

I traveled out of his house, which was a fortress and continued down to a house.

I knocked on the door and shouted to my only friend here. The only one with a good bone still in his body.

"KYLE!"
