Ember's POV

Rain and Stella were showing me around.

Rain has become much more friendlier to me after the whole misunderstanding, and me almost killing his "friend". Yeah, somehow, I really don't believe that they're just "friends".

Stella seemed to tolerate me, but she stayed as far away as possible, which I guess I can't blame her. I mean, I wouldn't be like let's be friends! After somebody tried to kill me.

"So about this mutant spider lady," Rain began.

"Yeah, she's powerful," I said. "And fast, but somehow some blue luminous threads stopped her for a moment."+

"Magical threads?" Rain asked, before turning to Stella. "Stella, did anyone in the Coven have that type of magic."

Stella shook her head. "No, as I recalled, not a single member had that type of magic, before I became a wanderer. Besides, if even one of the new ones did, they're all dead."

"So we can rule out the Coven members because they're all dead." I said, which made Stella give me a sharp look.1

"I wonder if anybody in my village survived," I said after a minute of silence. "I hope Moon survived."

"Who's Moon?" Rain asked.

"My best friend," I answered. "She's super intelligent but usually quite anxious. Oh and she's terrible at fighting." I grinned. "Just like I hate reading."

"You don't like reading?" Stella gasped.

"Wow, you and Moon would get along great." I said.

Stella shook her head in shock.

"Ember? What are you thinking?" Rain asked.

"What? What do you mean?" I asked.

"You have a look on your face that says I'm about to do something stupid." Rain told me.7

I groaned. "It's nothing."

Rain gave me a hard look. "You want to go back to your village and find your friend." He said as if it was a statement rather than a question.

"How did you figure that out?" I asked.

"Experience," he replied. "I did the same thing, except... I went to the Nether instead, and ended up killing her."

I knew there was more to the story, but I decided not to push it any further, something told me that if I did, I would regret it. So I remained silent.

"If you want to leave and find your friend, then you have to talk to the grandmaster, Ser Patrick," Rain told me. "And Stella and I will come with you on your journey."

"What if he says no?" I asked. "I mean he's pretty mad at both of you."

"Oh, I'll just say we'll come back here alive," Rain told me.

"Um, Rain? Last time you said we'd come back here safely," Stella reminded him. "That didn't quite happen."

"It's okay, Stella," Rain said. "You can stay here if you want."

Stella stopped walking. "I'll come," she sighed. "Just promise you're not going to leave anybody behind, Rain, okay?"

Rain flinched but nodded. What was that about? I wondered.

"So, Rain," I started. "Have you ever had any relationships with any girls?"

"Um, I'll be in the library," Stella said, suddenly and quickly left.

Okay, that girl has problems. I thought.

"There was this girl, her name was Abigail," Rain told me. "We both died in the zombie attack, but while I was resurrected, she came back as something... different, something terrible. I traveled to the Nether for revenge, ended up killing a bunch of pigmen, blazes, wither skeletons, ghasts, the Pig King and Abigail in the process." He gave me a weird look. "For some reason, there was this very catchy song playing in the background."

I burst out laughing at that, before looking down, and seeing what looked like a red Ender eye in front of me. I stopped laughing, and stared at it.

"Are you okay?" Rain asked.

"Yeah," I said. "Can you get Stella?" I asked. "I kinda what to leave now."

Rain gave me a confused look. "Alright," he said. "See you soon."

As soon as he was out of view, I bent over and grabbed the red Ender eye.

What is this? I wondered, before sticking it into my inventory.
