Ember's POV

"Really, Daryll? Are you sure?"

"Quite sure, saw it myself."

"Poor guy,"

"Somebody should warn Rain and Stella."

"What's taking those two so long, anyways?"

"That's not important, Patrick, we need to make sure this guy is okay."

"Maybe he died."

"Seriously?"

"Hey, it's possible."

"He's breathing, idiot."

"I think he's waking up."

"Oh, welp, I'm just going to go leave now."

I opened my eyes. Where am I?

"How do you feel?" Daryll asked.

"Better," I said, and that was actually true. My arm was no longer killing me. It was a little sore, but it wasn't that bad. "Thank you,"

I looked around, the biome was filled with snow. No wonder they're called the Frostbourne.

"You never told me your name," Daryll said. "What is it?"

"I'm Ember," I told him. What did I have to lose? I sensed no malice from any of them and I needed help.

"Nice to meet you," a blue haired woman said. "My name is Lady Azura, and this is Ser Patrick, Hilda and Ceris.

"So, anyways, Ember," Patrick said. "What happened?"

I told them everything, the attack, the giant spider lady, my friends.

When I finished they were giving each other a concerned look.

"This can't be good," Hilda said. "And I was kind of hoping for a few months of peace at least."

"Guess that's too much to ask for," Ceris grumbled. "I should probably get the Endermen prepared in case another war happens. Although it would be easier if the rest of the Ender Watcher didn't die and the Ender Dragon was still alive."

"I'm sorry, if you guys don't want to fight, I understand. One of my friends hates fighting," I told them, meekly.

"No, we'll fight," Daryll said. "It's what we do, to protect mankind. We were just hoping that nothing would happen until much later."

I nodded, grateful that they were willing to help fight, but also guilty about it.

"Something tells me that the spider lady is not the worst threat there is." Azura said.

"Come, Ember," Ser Patrick told me. "Let's practice."

"Practice?" I repeated.

"I mean let's practice your sword fighting." He explained.

"What? But I'm a great sword fighter!" I protested very offended

Azura laughed. "Don't worry, Ember," she said. "He doesn't mean it that way."

"Oh," I said, feeling kinda like an idiot now. "Um, sure?"

As we began to walk to the weaponry I shivered and blurted out "HOW DO YOU LIVE IN THESE TEMPERATURES?"

The grandmaster shrugged. "We just got used to it," he said. "You will too, and if you don't Lady Azura will help you with that. She's a genius."

"PAZURA!" I said, and Patrick facepalmed.

"Sorry, I had to." I apologized, still laughing.

I heard Patrick muttered. "Lord, help me, so I do not murder this child."

"Yeah, good idea," I said. "Also, I'm not a child."

"Shut up," Patrick said, but he didn't look angry, so maybe he was used to this.

"So, who is Rain and Stella?" I asked.

"Two idiots who probably got themselves killed." Was his reply.

"Oh, okay than," I said. "That's nice."

"Okay, conversation time is over," he said. "Let's see how fast you move with a sword."
