Rain's POV+

"What?" Kane said. "The Last Ender Watcher?"

Ceris nodded, and Ember, who turned out to be pretty friendly and apparently the fight was just a huge misunderstanding, so now I felt kinda guilty about it, gave her a confused look. "But does that mean he's related to you?"

"No, Rain is the Last Ender Watcher, however, he is not the heir of the throne," Ceris explained. "Stella is supposed to be the next ruler of the End when her time comes."

Stella gave me a startled look.

"Oh, so you're telling us that Kane and I had been trying to kill the heir of the Ender Watchers?" Ciara asked.2

"Something like that," Ceris confirmed.

"Well that's embarrassing," Ember said, and I laughed.

"So, anyways," a woman, who I had never met before, but later learned that her name was Hilda, said. "We have some troubling news."

"Yeah, about that, we've seen plenty of troubling news by now." I said.1

"Rain..." Azura warned me. "There's another big threat out there."

"Oh, that's just fantastic," I said sarcastically. "I mean I was hoping another threat would happen eventually. And I definitely was hoping it was very soon."

"That sarcasm was not needed, Rain," Daryll said.

I understood, but I also was kind of tired of all these bad guys. Herobrine died? Okay, got that done. Oh, did you know there's a new King of the Nether? Yep, and he's going to kill you also. Truthfully? I just wanted a break.

Ember gave me a worried smile. "Does this happen a lot?" He asked.

"Um yes," I replied.

"I mean, I heard of the zombie apocalypse, which never ever reached my village," he said. "But I just witnessed a spider attack and almost got killed by a mutant female spider."

I explained to Ember about Naeus, the fall of The End, and everything else that he didn't know or understand.

"Thanks," Ember said, slightly embarrassed. "I just wasn't prepared or anything."

"It's okay," I told him. "Look, I wasn't prepared for a whole zombie apocalypse when Herobrine attacked Glacierford. I was a good sword fighter, but I wasn't ready for war, because it was a peaceful village. There's no shame in it, Ember. Besides, now we fight for mankind's liberty."

Ember relaxed when I said that, probably relieved that he wasn't the only one who wasn't prepared for a giant attack that could possibly lead to a war.

"So, I can tell that some things have changed since our absence," Stella said, looking around.

"Probably because there was a huge battle," I explained. "Which we missed."

"Patrick made it sound like you should have came back days ago," Ember said.

"Yeah, well, we were supposed to, but life got complicated." I sighed.1

"I just got here yesterday, but I was unconscious, so I'm kind of new to the whole complicated life scenario." Ember told me.1

I grinned, Ember seemed like a good guy to hang out with. "Come on, Ember," I said. "Let us show you around."
