Kain's POV
I open my eyes, groggy from sleep. Or I think it was sleep. Oh well. I hear a low buzz, and look around. We must be being flown to the arena. I feel the tracker in my arm, it throbs. But where are the other tributes. In fact, why haven't I seen them in training? It must be a quell, and only one tribute per district, because I haven't got a district partner. I don't want to go into the quell alone. Tears slip from my eyes. All I want is to lie down and have a long sleep...

Caspar's POV
I slam my hands into the glass surrounding me. How dare the Capitol take me away from my district? I haven't done anything wrong. Maybe I will see my parents, that thought calms me down. But they're probably avoxes or even...
I smash against the glass with all my might, feeling a sharp pain in my arm. Why isn't the glass breaking. Or is it glass? Maybe it's diamond, it does sparkle. I can see little lights popping in front of my eyes. Yes, it must definitely be diamond.

Arthur Abaumenyon (Game maker)
The 5 tributes who we rescued are all reacting to the serum in different ways. Lana seems to be growing weaker by the minute, whereas Caspar has become angry, dangerous. Kain has forgotten everything, and Emilé has remained completely neutral. Tomasž got less because of his age, and is already back to normal, but we have to keep him contained, just in case.
The moment they jumped off the cliff together, and met their death on the pointed stones at the bottom of the ravine, well, Anacriam Snow ordered the gamemakers to save them, he wanted a victor. So we did. Technically, they were dead when we found them, but as their hearts had only just stopped beating, we were able to save them. But I don't think Lana is going to make it.
