"So what did you find?" I had found myself in Julian's office, reporting back on everything I had done.
I spent the next ten minutes relaying every thing back to Julian, studying his reactions, which wasn't many, he was a very expressionless man, something I had learned a long time ago.
When I was finally finished, he said nothing, leaning back slightly in his chair whilst he rubbed his hands up and down his upper legs. He looked a little stressed if I'm honest.
After a few minutes he sat forward again and looked straight at me, catching me off guard. That was pretty bad considering I am never supposed to be surprised.
"I feel like this isn't getting anywhere. All we have is a lead in a school and it's just running us in circles" He paused slightly. " And frankly I'm getting dizzy"
"I know it seems like that now, but it's only the beginning" I found myself defending this mission and I had no idea why. I would of jumped at the chance. Weirdly my thoughts went to the many good friends I had made in the past few weeks, I couldn't disappear and leave them not knowing where I went.
"Ok, if you think you can do it, I'm not stopping you." He said and swished his hand in a uncaring manor.
I grinned at him and rocked back and forth on my heels. As I looked at Julian I could tell he had something else on his mind. That much was obvious.
He cleared his throat and began speaking. "There's a fair taking place today. I want you to participate, stalk a few people, find out some secrets, I don't care. As long as I have something by the end of the day"
Before I could say anything he got up from his chair and bounded over to me. "Go. Now." He said before he grabbed my wrist and pulled me towards the door with me stumbling all over my uncoordinated feet.
------------
Approximately one hour and thirty minutes later I found myself sat comfortably on a bench, trying as hard as I could to try and come up with a plan. I didn't know it was going to be this hard.
I was thinking so hard I forgot my surroundings and lost myself in my non-existing thoughts. Ideas were flying around in my head but none of them seemed like they would actually work.
A strong, warm hand grabbed my shoulder, causing my body to jolt in surprise, oops. Something I should never be, surprised. The hand was extremely warm, heating up my cold shoulder, compared to the bitter weather which had me shivering earlier on.
"What are you doing here?" I heard a familiar voice ask me. I realised that I was still staring off into the distance and quickly rearranged myself by looking up to see who it was.
Stefan.
Why is it that I see him everywhere I go?
I stared at him for seemed like hours but really for only a few seconds.
I heard myself speak without realising. "I um… bored….yeah"
Oh crap, what was that? Why did I do that? It didn’t eve sound like an understandable sentence.
Stefan smirked proudly, like he had won a really good prize or something. "Stunned my beauty?" He asked cockily.
My embarrassment vanished as soon as he said those big headed words. I was instantly brought back to reality. "You wish" I puffed my chest out slightly in a defensive manor and turned my nose up at him.
"Sure" He grinned followed by a wink. After a few seconds of silence he looked like he wanted to say something. I was becoming more and more impatient at his pained expression and wanted to desperately know what was going on in that head of his.
