"Maria!" Amy squealed as she threw her spindly arms around my neck, crushing me to the point that I was finding it hard to inhale any oxygen.
"Hey Amy" I replied coolly, trying to pry her arms away from me after I found some breath and obviously some much needed super strength.
The day of the sleepover had come. I never told Amy I hadn't been to one before, only Kim knew. This meant I had to act like I wasn't internally freaking out.
"Are you ready for the best night EVER?" She grinned. "We are going to have so much fun!" And the next thing I knew my wrist was being choked by her grip as I got pulled along the hall and into the lounge.
The lounge looked so cosy I must admit. There were three leather couches, two were places opposite and the other against the wall, they all surrounded a huge flat screen TV held by a fancy fireplace. The walls were a light beige which instantly made me feel at home. I also noticed Amy had put up four makeshift beds for us to sleep on.
Suddenly I felt a pair of arms hug me from behind. "Maria!" A deep voice welcomed me. George.
I turned around so I was facing him and gave him the biggest smile I could muster up. "George!" I returned the gesture before giving him a gentle squeeze.
"So where's Kim?" I asked curiously.
"Right here" She called, coming into the lounge arms bundled with huge amounts of junk food. Does she want to put us in a sugar coma?
I smiled gingerly and went to plop down on to the floor where I had the perfect view of the TV.
Kim kindly passed out every food that she had picked out so that we all had a fair amount of everything, I had a feeling I wouldn't be able to move after I eat all of this.
Amy came and sat next to me whilst Kim and George took the two opposite sofa's, spreading out their bodies so there was no space at all.
"Now that Maria's here, I guess we can get this party started!" Amy grinned happily, adding a fist pump for effect.
The 'party' she was so pumped about was a small sleepover consisting of junk food and crappy movies, I'm not sure why she was so excited about it ,but hey it's better than an actual party.
Amy suddenly stood up and pounced towards the home phone. "We forgot to order pizza!" she exclaimed, her voice lined with panic. She was so dramatic.
I rolled my eyes. "Why don't you just order it now then? I'm sure that it will only take about 10 minutes tops" I said, trying to calm her down. And yes, I have had my fair share of pizza.
George noticed Amy's panic and also tried to get her back to normal. "I'll order it Ames, you watch the film"
At George's proposition, Amy's shoulders visibly relaxed and she slumped on the nearest sofa as we all watched in amusement, who knew she put this much effort in to these small things?
"You are so dramatic Amy" Kim said, rolling her eyes. She took the words right out of my mouth.
I nodded in agreement as she looked over at both us, a scowl on her face. "I just want it to be the prefect sleepover" She lightly protested.
"Are you kidding me?" George said as he came back into the lounge, the phone was placed in his left hand as he walked towards us. "Its freaking amazing already"
