"Water, Earth, Fire, Air."

"Growing up in the Fire Nation, I heard tales of a time when the Avatar maintained harmony among the nations before war cast its shadow over us all."

"But everything changed when my nation, the Fire Nation, attacked, shattering the peace and igniting endless conflict."

"The Avatar, master of all four elements, was the world's only hope against the firebenders' tyranny. Yet, when his presence was crucial, he disappeared, leaving the world in despair."

"A century has passed since then, and the Fire Nation's grip tightens, threatening to extinguish the last sparks of resistance. My own life, once bound to the very heart of that aggressor, is testimony to the relentless pursuit of domination. I witnessed, first-hand, the sacrifices made in the shadows of war, my own family torn apart for the sake of power."

"Many have lost faith, doubting the Avatar's return, believing the cycle is broken. But not me. Despite the darkness I've escaped, I cling to the hope that the Avatar will emerge to restore balance. My journey is a testament to the belief that even in the darkest times, hope can flourish. I've seen the depths of the Fire Nation's ambition, yet I believe, somehow, the Avatar will return to save us all."

"...And I will be right there to help them."

I wince in pain as I grab one of the many moist bandages that are wrapped around my limbs.

The small boat I piloted shook with each minuscule movement I made, as I made sure to not move too much.

I successfully escaped from my home... The Fire Nation.

I planned my escape ever since I became competent enough to understand how the world truly is.

More specifically, at the age of eight.

I spent six full years plotting, moving slowly, and pretending to be someone I'm not, just to leave.

And I finally made it.

I remember the labor I was forced into... Just for my power.

The bandages on my arms and legs covered the horrible past I endured.

Burns, swelling, bruises...

The Fire Nation soldiers tried to chase me, and without using an ounce of my prowess, I nimbly escaped their attempt at capturing me again.

They treated me like a dog in training, I was taken away from my family by force, that same force putting me under the Fire Lord.

They tried to bribe me, as they "promised" me greatness and fortune if I stayed under the rule of the Fire Lord.

"You can be my son...! You can replace that wretched boy!"

He'd try to convince me with words like that, but it'd only make me grow angrier.

However, in such a dark and evil place, there's always someone trying to be a light.

Like my parents; I'd often hear stories from the soldiers at night, stories about how they deserved to be executed.

My parents were already "unordinary," being somewhat foreign to the Fire Nation, they never physically looked like the others, let alone acted like them.

Years before I was born, they spent a lot of their time freeing groups of people taken over by the Fire Nation, right under their noses.

To make a long story short, they were caught and executed right after I was born.
