Chapter 21

"So you're telling me Minhee bit Sunoo, which weakens him overtime?!" Jay angrily said, clutching the sofa mattress tightly in his hands.

"Yes, but when I went to give him some food, the bite marks were gone. As if it healed overnight." Hyeongjun said. Heeseung heaves out a sigh of relief as he flops down besides Jake.

"What has he been eating? Is he eating well?" Sunghoon asked in a worried tone.

Sungmin smiles at him before nodding. He then took his phone out to show them a recording of him and Hyeongjun throwing out the disgusting meal they are forced to serve.

"We buy him food outside everytime. Since Jungwon gave us some pocket money to feed Sunoo. But that's all what we can do. We can't let him out because the gates are guarded by brutes of orcs." Sungmin explained.

Sunghoon leans back to the sofa as he looks up at the ceiling. He really needs to keep his shit together in order to save Sunoo. He has been sharpening his claws and blades for the war that is about to happen.

He and Jay knows Minhee so well. Coming from a branch of vampires who kill for sports and has a thirst for the weak.

Suddenly, the doorbell rang out of the blue. All of them looks at each other in confusion before Jay decided to open it. He was shocked to see Niki at the door, smiling while scratching his nape.

"Niki? What are you doing here? Who did you went here with?" Jay asked as he holds the boy by the shoulders.

"Me. I picked him up." Jay froze in his place upon hearing the voice.

It was none other than Sunoo's mom. By the looks of it, she doesn't look happy. Jay gulps as he literally gets choked by fear.

"I sensed that something is up. Where is Sunoo and who are these people, Jay?" Jisoo asked before stepping inside her household.

They all look at her in fear, looking down as her presence takes over the living room. Jisoo starts looking around the house before landing her eyes on Sunghoon, who is looking at her directly.

"Sunoo, mommy's here. Come out." Jisoo calls out, not taking her gaze at Sunghoon.

"Madame, Sunoo is–"

"I know. He is missing. And I can't believe you let him go missing." Jisoo calmly said before sitting down on one of the chairs.

Jay knows what is about to happen. Knowing that his friend's mom is not just an ordinary person, but a type of power entity that is capable of killing them in one snap of a finger.

"You do know that Sunoo is human, right? That he didn't inherited the trait from me. Who took him?" She asked as he looks at Jay.

"The heiress of the Kang Dynasty, auntie. Kang Minhee." Upon hearing the familiar surname, Jisoo clenches her jaws. The lights started flickering as she relieves the pain she has to live with.

"Out of all the people, why them? They are the one who murdered my husband infront of my son! The very same people from that clan!" She angrily said. Jay hugs Niki to comfort him. Jisoo saw this and decided to calm herself again.

"Are you all humans?" She asked as she takes out her lipstick.

They all looked at each other before shaking their heads. That confirms it that all of them aren't humans. Heeseung and Jungwon came from a clan of witches, Jake from a clan of werewolf, and Jay and Sunghoon are vampires.

"We will attack them tonight so be prepared. As much as possible, no casualties. Niki, sweetie, you will stay here, okay?" She said while giving the boy a smile.

Niki nods. He knows that he is not human as well. For he came from an unknown clan. But maybe Jisoo is just worried for his whole being.
