Chapter 22

Minhee ordered one of his servants to go and check for Sunoo. He also ordered to harm the boy when he fights back. The man grins as he was handed a whip for him to use against Sunoo.

When he arrives, he saw nothing but an empty food tray. He was confused upon seeing it so he went to check on Sunoo a little closer by going inside his cell.

He searched around the cell before looking up when droplets of black gooey substance drips from the ceiling. He mumbled something before out of the blue, Sunoo appears. The cells was also covered in black blinding fog.

The man tries to whip Sunoo up, but all he is hearing are mumbles and whispers of language unknown. As if he was being cursed. The black fog eventually cleared up and he was transported into a different dimension of some sort.

He looks around the vast field of dead grass until his sight landed into Sunoo who is bathe in the black gooey substance, in a pond like structure. The man gritted his teeth before approaching him. But to his surprised, he was transported back to the cell. Now he is getting scared.

He tries to flee from the cell until Sunoo decided to toy with him. He stands behind him with a grin as the black fog covers him like an aura. He looks at him, terrified.

Sunoo then grabs the man by the throat before leaning in to whisper im his ear.

"Anima tua mea est." And with that, the man fell on to the ground like a rag doll.

Sunoo went back to normal, falling down next to the man's corpse as he tries to process what just happened.

He hears voices through his head telling him to kill and move forward. But he tries to fight it. Eventually, he succumb to the voices and he is now one with it. Fully embracing the dark entity.

Meanwhile, Sunghoon and the others are waiting for Heeseung's signal. They just bulldozed a mob of vampires and orcs along the way with the help of Jisoo.

Heeseung whistles at them before they all went inside the manor. Minhee is expecting them at the throne room as he was told that this is what gonna happen in the prophecy he was given.

"My lord! The witch is here along with Sunghoon. What should we do?" Jungmo asked, panicking at what is happening.

Minhee heaves an angry sigh before turning around with his bloodshot eyes.

"Let them in! I can handle them myself. I just have to kill Sunghoon and then that witch." He said before sending Jungmo back out there.

Before he could even sit on his throne, a head was thrown to the door, and to his surprise, it was Jungmo's.

He turns his head to the door to see a blood covered Sunghoon with Jungwon and Jay on his side.

Minhee smirks before using the dark energy to entangled the other two, leaving only Sunghoon. But he noticed that it was kinda weaker than what he is used to.

"It's between you and me now, Minhee. A head for a head." Sunghoon said before lunging in towards Minhee's direction.
