Maya's POV

****

"how's your wrist?" I ask her as we are all sitting on the couch

"It hurts like hell, but I don't think anything's wrong with it"

"I thought you had to go to the ER after a dislocation," I say

"I'm supposed to but it's not worth it, they just give me a splint that I don't wear"

"I thought you liked going down there?"

"I don't like it, I'm just down there so often that I made the best out of a bad situation"

"Fair enough"

****

"at least let me drive you," I say as Izzie was about to walk home

"I'm fine" she laughs

"Why can't I?"

"Because I have a feeling it will make you feel worse about letting me go back there every day"

"It won't, I promise"

"Fine, but I hold the right to say I told you so"

"How long does it take you to walk here?" I ask

"About an hour" she shrugs

"An hour!"

"I told you you would do that" she laughs

"I'm doing nothing"

"Ok, if you say so, bye Danielle," she says, getting out and walking up to the house

I knew she told me to drive off straight away but I wanted to make sure she got in so I drove forward a bit so I could see her, but she couldn't see me

I watch as she puts her middle finger up at the front door before going around to the side of the house and climbing through a window to get inside

"Great, she was right" I sigh

Izzie's POV

"Where were you last night?" one of the other kids ask me, he was only 5 so he was nice

"The hospital"

"What happened?" he asks innocently

"You know it's complicated" I sigh

"No school tomorrow," he says nervously

"you're the only one?" I ask as he nods, "ok, you can come to work with me ok?" I say as he smiles

I didn't like leaving him alone in the house as he was only 5 and wouldn't know what to do if something happened

"Ok, you can come and sit in my trailer" I smile

***

"Ok, grab your stuff, we've got to go," I say as we leave early to avoid everyone else

"Here we are," I say as we go into my trailer

"Phone?" he asks as he sits on my lap

"Here you go, only games, don't go messaging people"

"Come in," I say as someone knocks on the door and Danielle and Stefania come in

"hey," they say, standing in shock at the fact there's a 5-year-old on my lap

"Hi, no, I said don't message people," I say, laughing at his attempts to text someone

"who's this?" Danielle asks

"This is Jacob, he lives with me, and he doesn't have school today, but I didn't want him alone in the house so he's just going to sit in here, right?" I ask him as he looks at them
