The female Ace soon stopped back outside Irbys. Heading in she saw Seven sat at one of the bar stools."Diamonds out back with the bartender." She said as she watched her leader approach.
Ace nodded at her as she sat down next to her and lit up a cigarette.
"We also have company." Seven whispered, leaning closer to Ace as she subtly nodded her head behind her.
"All of them?" Ace whispered, blowing smoke out above her.
Seven nodded and leant back, taking a sip from the whisky in front of her.
"Ace seemed particularly interested in knowing about you, shot us a lot of questions." She mumbled, taking another drink.
Ace nodded slowly and turned slightly to watch the boys as they took up 2 pool tables with their games.
She locked eyes with her male counterpart as he stood firm, gripping a pool cue in one hand, beer in the other.
"What did you tell him?" She mumbled through gritted teeth so he couldn't read her lips.
"Nothing. Only that you're only interest is getting the necklace back then leaving." Seven mumbled behind her.
Ace nodded slightly.
"You think there's anything else?" She mumbled to her friend behind her. Eyes still locked with Ace, no matter how his boys tried to distract him.
"I don't trust him Ace. No offence but his eyes are like yours. Give nothing away but danger."
Ace smirked at that comment. She saw Ace return her smirk.
"Any luck?" Seven asked as Diamond returned to their sides. Minus a bartender.
Diamond nodded slightly, cautiously looking between Seven and their leader, who's eyes were still locked with Ace's.
"Apparently there's only one person in this town that can get anything when they want from whoever they want.." her voice trailed. "They're the go to guy for things like this."
Silence.
Ace grumbled under her breath.
"Him." A scowl appeared on her face as she watched the smile on Ace's face grow.
Diamond nodded slowly in response as her and Seven turned to face the other cobras, who had all stood next to Ace, smiles lighting up their faces.
"Them." Diamond mumbled, a scowl matches Ace's appeared on her face.
Ace growled before leaping off her seat and storming outside. Walking forward she kicked over a trash can and began pacing about, ignoring the looks she received from passerby's who avoided her like the plague.
"What did that trash can ever do to you?"
The voice stopped her in her tracks as she turned slowly to face the male that shared her name. The smirk still firmly planted on his face as he placed a cigarette in his mouth before reaching out to offer her one.
"Do you know where it is?" She snapped at him.
He shook his head before walking forward and holding the cigarette up to her lips. She hesitated before snatching it from him and placing it in her mouth.
A laugh escaped from him as he lit a match and his cigarette before stepping closer and lighting up hers. She stood firm as they both inhaled smoke before blowing it out.
"You better not be lying to me." She snapped at him.
He shook his head and smiled down at her.
"I'd never lie to you."
"Why don't I believe that?" She questioned, tilting her head slightly and taking another toke.
"Can't answer that one for you sweetheart." He replied as he shrugged, blowing smoke right in her face.
She scowled at him.
"You know I don't think you're as scary as you make out." She said, stepping back and looking him up and down.
His black top was neatly tucked into his trousers as he laughed at her comment, stepping closer to her.
"You have no idea how scary I can be." He growled, lowering his face to hers.
His forehead pressed against hers.
"I'm deadly sweetheart." He growled again.
Ace dropped her cigarette and felt her hands raise to his waist. She trailed her fingers along his waist before they reached his belt buckle. Gripping it she yanked him closer, their bodies touching as one as his hands went to her waist.
"Prove it." She growled in return. "Get me my necklace."
She tilted her head up to his and gently allowed her lips to brush over his just enough for him to feel the slightest touch but not enough to give in.
"Get me my necklace Ace." She whispered against his lips.
He growled again as his grip on her waist tightened.
"I'll get you your fucking necklace." He snapped back at her.
Before she could respond he instantly snapped himself away from her body, the cold hit her from where he had been standing. She moved so she was by his side as they said no more words but moved down the street.
Legs walking in sync, heads held high. Normally for Ace people moved aside for him but he was somewhat surprised to see people actually completely cross the street.
He subtly looked at the girl by his side. The determined look on her face. The snake cuff around her arm. The snap of her heeled boots on the floor. The saunter in her step as her hips moved side to side with each step. A smirk appeared on his face.
She subtly looked at the guy by her side. The distinct jawline covered in stubble held high. The cobra lettering on his arm. The way he walked with such purpose and authority. A smirk appeared on her face.
Ace stopped her as they arrived outside the other pawn shop in town. He'd let her take the first one, but this one was his. She gave him a side eye as he grinned at her before coughing slightly and pretending to stretch his arms.
She laughed as she watched him raise his foot and bring it smashing down against the door. It flung open and hung off one of its hinges. A scream was heard from inside as he turned to her with a smile on his face.
He offered her his hand and she laughed slightly, accepting it as she cautiously stepped into the shop, followed by him.
When they were inside they were met with a woman cowering behind the counter and a guy standing in the middle of the shop, holding a baseball bat.
Ace instantly tugged his female companion behind him. Yet before the guy could even talk Ace was in front of him, hand yanking the bat from his grip before bringing up the handle and smashing it down onto the guys face.
The man collapsed to the floor instantly unconscious causing the woman to scream again.
"Ace please don't!" She begged. "You can have whatever you want! Just don't hurt him!"
Ace smiled at her before turning to the female him and offered her his hand again. She had a smirk on her face as she accepted it and allowed him to help her walk over the man. She sauntered to the counter.
"I'm glad you said I could have whatever I want." She started. "Because what I want, is a necklace."
