The woman behind the counter claimed she had never heard of the necklace she was searching for. Of course not. Because life never was that fucking easy.Ace growled at the woman behind the counter, her nails digging into the glass screen that covered a handful of neatly laid out jewellery. Feeling a hand on her back she turned and saw her male counterpart standing beside her.
A smirk appeared on his face as within a second he raised his hand clutching the bat and brought it crashing down on the counter whilst simultaneously clutching Ace closer to his side.
The woman behind the counter attempted to scream again as glass and her stock fell to the ground. He felt Ace laugh beside him which only spurred him on more. He had to be deadlier than her at least.
"Find the necklace." He ordered as he raised the bat up towards her.
She nodded quickly as her body tried to lean against the wall, as far away from the deadly duo as possible.
He nodded in return before offering the bat to his female companion, she smiled sweetly at him accepting it before turning on her heel and swinging the bat around.
A wooden shelving unit collapsed down on top of the male on the floor. China, glass and pottery smashed down on the floor as Ace spun herself to face the frightened woman.
"Oops!" She mustered with a giggle, holding one hand to her mouth.
"Dammit Ace you're so clumsy." Ace said with a laugh as he stepped closer to her, offering out his hand.
She laughed and accepted his hand before the pair headed to the door. The female Ace stopped and turned to the woman who was desperate to rush to her husbands side.
"Oh and we weren't kidding. You better find me my necklace." She growled out. "Or there will be more accidents coming your way."
A smirk appeared on her face as she looked down at the man still unconscious on the ground, covered in the remains of their stock.
"Thanks for the bat!" She perked up as she laughed, heading out the shop pulling Ace along with her.
They both laughed as they somewhat stumbled along the street, barely realising their hands were still connected.
Chris, Gordie, Vern and Teddy were walking along in silence. None of them knew what to say. How they'd gotten away alive from their last encounter with Ace they had no idea but now there was two of them?!
"Guys.." Vern said, freezing in the spot.
"What?" Chris asked quietly. The only thing on his mind was his brother and the other cobras. What the hell would happen if they got together with these girls to torture them?
Vern didn't reply. They followed his gaze down the street and soon mirrored his frozen action. Ace Merrill was walking hand in hand with the female Ace they'd had the pleasure of meeting, while she was aimlessly swinging a baseball bat in her free hand.
"We're so fucked." Chris mumbled.
"It's been a pleasure serving with you men." Teddy mumbled.
"Freaking run!" Gordie half shouted, yanking at the other boys.
All 4 instantly took off in the other direction, running as fast as their legs could carry them. Both Ace's found this hysterical as the female let go of his hand to grip the bat with both hands.
"They're proper little toys."
Ace turned to her slightly confused.
"Toys?"
She nodded smiling at him.
"Hell yeah, it's great fun scaring the shit outta them!" She answered with a smirk, gently swinging the bat from side to side.
Never had people moved away so quickly as they did when they saw Ace Merrill walking side by side with the newest female in town, also under the name Ace.
"I need to get back to the girls anyway. Hopefully they've had better luck than me." She mumbled slightly.
"You ever gonna tell me what's so special about this necklace?" He asked
She paused before replying. "You ever gonna tell me your real name?"
"You ever gonna tell me yours?" He quipped back with a smirk.
"Fair point." She mumbled.
The pair laughed slightly as they walked along in silence, the sun slowly setting behind them caused their shadows to stretch out along the pavement, besides a few small differences they were the same.
Just as they reached Irbys the other cobras, Seven and Diamond all walked out.
"Any luck?" Seven asked her leader.
Ace shook her head solemnly. "You?"
The girls shook their heads. Diamond turned and faced the sun going down.
"It's getting late." She mumbled.
"Day 1 done." Seven mumbled alongside her.
Ace Merrill wasn't sure what expression was on the female Ace's face but for a split second it almost looked like fear.
"We can't go back without it Ace." Diamond said, turning back to the leader.
Ace nodded slowly.
"We're going to find it."
The boys all gave each other confused looks as Ace turned to the male version of herself.
"Know any places to stay round here?"
A smirk appeared on his face as he nodded.
"Boys walk the girls bikes. Let's go." He ordered at his cobras.
Charlie, Vince and Fuzzy all stepped over to the girls bikes and they began to slowly walk them down the street. Whilst Ace, Eyeball and Billy accompanied the girls in directing them to the one place they knew the girls could stay. Ace Merrill's house.
