J smiled down at his baby sister as he wiped away the final tears.

"You can do it love." He whispered as he wrapped his arms around her again, pulling her close to him.

"You don't need him. You need family. And I'm family."

He felt her freeze up in his grip.

"We can go home together. But only once he's dealt with."

Ace froze up again. She couldn't do that. J pulled away slightly and took her hands in his. His fingers felt the ring on her finger as he held her hand up. He felt anger as his thumb brushed over the rose.

"Love what's this?" He asked.

She shrugged slightly.

"Just a ring."

He tutted as he shook his head before slowly pulling it off her finger and putting it in his jacket pocket.

"You don't need that. You're an Ace remember?" He mumbled, annoyance at whoever gave her the ring.

He wouldn't stand for anyone messing up his plans. Whether that was a gang of cobras or a couple of girls who wanted to get out of the life he wanted to rule.

"So you're going to do it aren't you?" He asked her again. He had to be sure she was capable of getting rid of him.

Ace mumbled under her breath and shook her head slightly. J quickly held her face in his hands and made her nod.

"You have to love! He doesn't love you! He isn't capable of it!" He almost shouted at her, he had to turn her away from him.

"But he-" she started but he shook his head quickly.

"He was probably the one involved in stealing the necklace!" J shouted quickly.

It was a clear lie. He knew that. But it was the best he could think of. He had to get rid of Ace Merrill and having his younger sister do it seemed beautifully ironic.

"He didn't-" she mumbled, trying to shake her head but unable to in her brothers right grip.

"It's obvious love! He's the leader of a gang who will clearly stop at nothing to get what he wants!" He shouted again.

"Don't let him destroy this family more than he already has." J said quieter this time as he nodded at her.

"You hurt them before they hurt you." He whispered. "Say it."

She was silent in his tight grip.

"Say it." He ordered again.

"I hurt them before they hurt me." Her voice came out as a squeak.

J shook his head. "Say it like an Ace."

Ace was silent as she looked down but her head was quickly held up again by him.

"Don't look down. You never look down unless they're on the floor." He ordered at her, feeling his grip tighten.

He quickly stepped back and released her before he caused her pain. He knew if she felt pain from him he would lose the edge. He needed her to trust him somewhat again.

"One last job and we can go home love." He whispered to her. "Me and you. As a family."

Ace was silent as she forced herself to keep her head up.

"Isn't that what you want? A family?" He asked.

She nodded slowly as he smiled.

"So do this and let's be a family." He said as he offered her out his hand.
