Ace growled to himself again as he finally reached his house. Storming up the steps he flung open his door, slamming it shut behind him. He huffed as he came crashing into his lounge. His cobras sat around, somewhat fear on their faces. They had seen their boss angry, they had seen him lose his temper but they hadn't seen him this way for as long as they could remember.

He glared at them all as he pushed his way through and sat down on his armchair, grabbing a cigarette and matches as quick as he could. The boys watched as he lit one up and smoked it in silence. The glances they shared with each other all showed the same thing. They were worried. They were worried about him. And they were worried about the girl that had not shown up with him.

"Ace..." Eyeball finally spoke up as he watched Ace finish his first cigarette and light up another one without hesitation.

Ace ignored him and continued to smoke his second cigarette in silence, staring into space.

"Ace..." Charlie tried, slowly edging closer to his boss.

Again, Ace ignored him and continued to smoke.

"Where is she?" Billy asked, staying back. Ace was scarier silent than he was shouting.

Silence.

"Is she okay?" Vince asked.

Silence. The second cigarette was now down to its end as Ace stubbed it out and grabbed another, lighting it up straight away.

"Ace talk to us. The girls are going nuts upstairs." Fuzzy mumbled as the faint shouts were finally heard from the girls locked in the bathroom.

To the cobras misfortune silence was once again received from Ace Merrill. How could he even begin to tell them what he'd learnt.

"Will you fucking say something?!"

Every head turned in the room to Eyeball who was now glaring at his leader. He'd had enough. Something had clearly happened but Ace wasn't going to talk about it without a little nudge.

Within a second Eyeball was slammed into the sofa behind him. His collar gripped in Ace's grip as he saw the snarling face of Ace Merrill millimetres from his own.

"What the fuck do you want me to say?!" He shouted in his face, slamming Eyeball harder into the sofa. "That we fucking killed King huh! That before we did he fucking told me that that Darren kid the girls told us about was her fucking fiancée!" He pushed Eyeball down harder. "That I heard she fucking killed her own fiancée after I fucking put that fucking ring on her fucking finger! That your fucking younger brother knocked him out first! That she fucked off after we had an argument in the middle of the fucking street! Where'd you want me to fucking start?!"

The other cobras felt their hearts skip a beat. What to process first they couldn't pick. Chris had knocked King out. They'd killed him. Darren was set to marry Ace. Ace had killed her own fiancée. It was all too much.

Eyeball gulped slightly, still under the tight grip and harsh glare of Mr Merrill. That was the nudge Ace needed. He let out a breath of relief as Ace slowly looked over him and released his grip, letting his best friend go he took a step back and faced the other boys. Eyeball quickly composed himself and stood up, facing him.

"Do you love her?" He asked his leader.

Ace looked out at the other boys, they all stared at him in response. Everyone in the room knew the answer, hell even Ace did. Luckily for him they didn't need to hear the answer. They knew.

"Aces belong together." Vince said quietly as he took a step closer to his boss.

"Where is she?" Fuzzy asked.

Ace shrugged in response, stubbing his cigarette out and reaching out for another but was stopped by Eyeball grabbing them and chucked them at Billy behind him. Ace gave him the traditional glare as he watched a smirk appear on his face.

"Sorry boss." He said with a small chuckle. "It's scarier from her."

Ace growled as he stepped a little closer. Eyeball just shook his head and stood firm.

"I suggest we go upstairs, unleash the hell that is the girls about to break your door down and go find her."

Ace shook his head.

"She doesn't want my help." He snapped as he pushed past Eyeball and tried demanding the cigarettes from Billy.

To his surprise Billy shook his head and shoved the cigarettes in his pocket.

"We fight beside Ace." He bit back to Ace.

Ace glared at him but he shook his head in response. Ace spun and saw the same look on each cobras face.

"I'm your fucking Ace!" He shouted at them as they all stood firm.

Eyeball stepped closer to him. "We weren't talking about you."

"We fight beside Ace." Charlie said as he stepped closer to Ace.

Ace glared at all of them but slowly noticed how none were budging against him.

"Fine! Go fight beside your new fucking Ace! See if I fucking care!" He snapped at them all as he shoved his hand into Billy's pocket and yanked out the cigarettes.

Walking over to his armchair he sat down and lit up another as the other cobras looked down at him. Charlie quickly disappeared and headed upstairs. Within seconds he was back down with the two girls, who were still cussing out the cobras for locking them in the bathroom.

The girls froze as they walked in the lounge and saw Ace Merrill sat on the armchair, not even looking up at them. Eyeball stepped closer as he slipped his hand in Diamonds.

"We fight beside Ace." He said with a smile at her.

She smiled back at him before looking back at Ace sat in the chair.

"Ace..." she started.

Eyeball tugged her arm and shook his head at her. She grumbled under her breath as she looked back at Ace. The man who was her leader in every way someone could be.

"She's going up against her own family Ace." She continued, ignoring Eyeball's attempts to pull her away. "I always knew she needed another Ace."

"She had Darren." They heard him mumble as his attention stayed on the cigarette.

"Had Ace. She had him." Seven snapped as she stepped a little closer, feeling Billy's hand on her, holding her back.

"We thought she had you now." Diamond mumbled.

"Clearly we were wrong." Seven finished for her as they both began to drag the boys away.

"We fight beside Ace." Eyeball said as he felt Diamond drag him to the front door.

"And so you know I always thought Aces belonged together too."

And with that Seven, Diamond and the rest of the cobras disappeared from his house. The front door shut and Ace Merrill was left in silence. Aces belonged together. That's what Eyeball had said. That's what they had all said. What a load of bullshit. She didn't want him to help. She'd made that much clear.

Yet how come he couldn't shake the feeling that right now she needed him more than ever?
