I was looking for something productive to do throughout the winter holidays so I had this little idea at the back of my head: Redesigning the current Wattpad logo. I decided to make at least two versions.
P.S. To the Wattpad community, don't take this as a major shade. I'm just sharing my personal taste and creativity as a budding graphic designer✌️

This here's the old and current logo of Wattpad. The new one has a customized serif font and the double t's are connected to represent the community. The 'W' provides sense of motion (dynamic). While it looks great, I personally wished they could have retained the similar design of the old logo. It happens to look like the Meralco logo.

I thought it was the new logo for Meralco at first glance. To my international readers, Meralco is a big electric company in the Philippines. You see how almost identical they are?

I designed the 'W' to look like a ballpoint pen surrounded by a semi-circular streak. The font used here is Aadhunik as I just connected the letter t's with a pen. I want it to look new and modern, blending in the far cry of the old logo's typeface. It should immediately tell people that this is a writing platform at first glance.
