As someone who relies so much on social media to land a gig, I am at least knowledgeable enough to share the stuff I've learned on getting a job. This is something I noticed among budding talents online.

They go to Twitter and randomly post something like "LOOKING FOR WORK! I AM AN ILLUSTRATOR/WRITER & GOOD AT THESE SOFTWARES SO HIT ME UP!" along with their avatar/character. There are others who also list down their skill set on their bio and share a glimpse of their portfolio. While it may seem fine as people have their own ways of seeking employment, it's best to create a curriculum vitae (CV) or resume. Now a CV is like an extensive profile that indicates your education, activities (e.g. being part of a varsity team), skills, traits and any prior job experiences. A resume, on the other hand, is usually a one-page summary of the CV.

One common trait is it includes your name, address, contacts and image. Depending on the company you're eyeing for, you can get pretty creative. A creative studio might be alright with pretty colorful resumes but still provide a copy in the standard format just in case.

Now, I realized then that you can simply indicate your hometown as your address, adding your image is optional and your social media handles/e-mail address for contacts as you don't wanna get doxxed upon posting it online. You may add in your phone number if you're directly gonna send it to your employer (who should be the only one to see that on your CV/resume). Also, your skills should align with that company's standards. Give a few samples of your artworks, poems or video reels if you will. If you wanna work for Wattpad, then you should be a good writer, creative, tech-savvy and well-adjusted around different people.
"But why not opt for professional sites like LinkedIn?"
Not everyone is gonna be familiar or interested in LinkedIn (myself included). A lot of your audiences will choose Twitter, Instagram or TikTok over anything else. You can also do collaboration projects with different creators and writers. Forgive me for going a little tangent here, but don't form connections for the sake of benefits. Try to form genuine friendships and keep in touch with other people from time to time as this little advise also applies to me.
REMINDER:
• Never lie about having ten years of experiences at a company or attended a certain school as they could eventually find out (yes, others are also guilty of this!).
• However you present yourself in public could impact your chance of landing a job so avoid getting into some drama as possible, ok?
• Avoid spamming otherwise your e-mails won't be noticed and you end up looking unprofessional.
• Always check for the company's official website and keep touch through designated links/person.
• If you're skeptical of something and it's too good to be true (like getting a thousand dollars from a job), then ignore it.
