7) Webtoon should notify me right away about the comments or subs.
While Wattpad immediately lets you know if someone has left a comment or subscribed to you, I have to actually check every single chapter to see them on Webtoon. I prefer checking out the top recent comments as they usually give nice and constructive feedback.
8) The comment section is a lot brutal compared to Wattpad.
I haven't received any harsh comments on Wattpad so far, probably because I'm not even that popular. When I go to Webtoon, they can get very blunt and turn out to be a perfectionist at times.
Always have a tough skin and don't bother scrolling further into the comment section there if you're a bit sensitive to those things.

So what did I learn as a new Webtoon creator?
✅ Always have neat layouts and dynamic illustrations.
✅ Webtoon is very competitive so the algorithm can be overwhelming at times.
✅ You learn so much from other people's works that you're motivated to do better.
✅ Always have a consistent upload schedule.
✅ Communication makes you a lot engaging in the eyes of potential readers.
✅ While it's optional, adding your other social media accounts/e-mail helps a lot.
✅ Sometimes, you have to give the story a chance until it becomes good in your eyes.
✅ The first 3-4 episodes has to possess that hook and explain what your story is gonna be about.
✅ Try chunking down long episodes into multiple parts.
✅ Most importantly, don't forget to have fun and enjoy the process.
