October isn't just all about Halloween and pumpkin spice latte drinks, but also hailed as National Book Month. I would like to share that books with illustrations are my absolute fave. This is why I immediately fell in love with Hailey Morrison's "Ivy and the Fluorescent Bulb" and "Plagium" on Wattpad. My other faves outside of Wattpad would be "Scott Pilgrim," "W.I.T.C.H." (which both have the comic and graphic novel versions) and "Homesick" from Webtoon. I will never forget the time in junior high school when I used to write my own illustrated stories on my notebook, specked with heavy pencil markings, while my other classmates get to bring their own books to read during this month (let's just say my family and I couldn't afford stuff like "Hunger Games" or "Percy Jackson"). However, I have to throw them away as they later made me cringe. At some point, I was inspired by other writers and artists growing up. They encouraged me to read a lot, never be afraid to do something different and broaden my horizons. Now, I look back at those old ideas and later incorporate them in my works today. If I were to achieve my childhood as a published author, I would definitely opt to self-publish online as there won't be any deadlines and it's very much proficient.
