“There! Perfect!” the gay makeup artist exclaimed. I open my eyes and I saw my reflection in the mirror. I smiled at ‘her’ when I feel satisfaction on her work.

“Thanks Bianca”

“No problem ganda! You look so pretty!” ma la day dream na sabi nito. Ngumiti lang ako ng tipid dito at inikot ko ang upuan ko. Tumayo ako at nanibago ako sa suot kong wedding gown. I heave out a sigh when I saw my reflection sa isang full length mirror. I’m wearing a simple but elegant gown. Yes. Today I’m getting married. With whom? With Grin Andrano.

I remember when I was a kid, when we attended a wedding, I envy the bride. I said to myself, one day, if I’m going to get married, I want my father to walk me to the altar. But I think that’s not going to happen.

Despite on what my father has done, he is still my father and I want him to walk me to the altar.

“Hi Ate Smirky! Say cheese!” I looked at Gabz then I saw a flash of a camera.

“Hmm beautiful” she said while looking at her camera.

“I can’t believe my brother is getting married. Eh naknakan ng sungit yun eh!” Gabz said. Hindi ko napigilang mapangiti. Oh well, masungit naman talaga si Grin eh.

I remember the first time I met him. Halatang nag papa cute na ako sa kanya pero parang wala itong paki alam. Well I’m glad na snob siya sa mga babae. Kung hindi, paano na lang ako?

We heard a knock at sumungaw doon si Alesson. Alesson entered the room followed by Mjeille and Krisan.

“Oh my god! I can’t believe you’re getting married!” Alesson beamed at me. Tipid akong ngumiti dito.

“Hi dear, congrats” bati naman ni Mjeille, Gavin’s wife.

“Thanks” tipid kong sabi. Nag ke-kwentuhan kami ng makarinig kami ng mahinang pag katok.

“Mom, are you done in there?” we heard said by a small voice.

“Please shut up Myco! Mom’s talking to tita Smirky!” followed by another tiny voice

“Yeah give some respect brother!” and another tiny voice

“Sheez tell it to dad!”

Natawa na lang kaming mga nasa loob.

“Mukhang hinahanap ka na ng asawa at mga anak mo Mjeille”

“Yeah. Pakana na naman ito ni Gavin. I told him to wait but as usual he is impatient” pairap na sabi nito.

“Can’t blame your husband. He’s just making sure that no one will snatch you away from him” I said to her.

“Tsk and he should trust me. I love him at hindi na ako mag hahanap ng iba.” Mjeille said.

“MOM! Dad’s getting on my nerves already so please come out in there!” sigaw ulit ng maliit na boses galing sa labas. natawa ulit kami.

“That’s Myco. Mukhang kinukulit na naman siya ng tatay niya na nasa labas. Bago pa tuluyang magalit yun, aalis na ako” hinalikan muna ako nito sa pisngi bago nag paalam sa amin.

“Hmm, eh ikaw Alesson asan yung “possessive” mo ding asawa?” kantyaw ni Krisan dito. Agad namang namula si Alesson.

“Oh well, pinapatulog niya si Adrian” simpleng sagot nito. It’s been one year already. At one year na din kaming engage ni Grin. Since mapamahiin din ang mga Andrano, at naniniwala sa ‘sukob’ kung saan dapat munang palipasin ng isang taon ang bagong kasal na kapatid bago ikasal ang ibang mga kapatid.
