(Long chapter)

"Fight, fight" Gandalf yelled and raised his staff into the air. The company quickly stood up and picked up their weapons from the large pile on the wooden platform.

Rebekah opened her eyes and looked up at the cave roof. Her vision was blurry and and the cave was silent, all she could hear was her heavy slow breath. Rebekah lifted her dizzy head and her eyes landed on the dwarfs, they all moved in slow motion as they armed themselves for battle. All of a sudden it started ringing in her Rebekah's ears. She squeezed her eyes tightly shut to try to escape the loud sound.

She opened her eyes and saw a large blurry shape approach her.

"Are you okay?" Thorin's voice echoed in her head. She was unable to speak due to the sick and ill feeling she felt in her body. He pulled out a knife from the inside of his jacket and started cutting the ropes tied to her limbs. When the ropes were cut he lifted her off the bone breaker. He placed her arm over his shoulder and held his arm on her upper back to help her walk but he quickly realized her body was limp.

He bent down and placed his left arm under her knees and the right on her back and picked her up and started running after Gandalf and the rest of the company.

Rebekah watched everything around her travel in slow motion, the ringing in her ears got louder and her breath heavier. Her eyelids grew heavier and heavier making it hard for her to stay awake. She couldn't resist it anymore so she closed her eyes and everything around her faded into darkness.

Suddenly she started hearing voices echo around her. She slowly opened her eyes and saw tree tops high in the sky. She tilted her head to the side and saw Thorin. He held his arms tightly around her as he ran down a steep hill.

She furrowed her brows in confusion, wondering what was happening. Suddenly Thorin started to slow down as they arrived at the bottom of the hill. His heavy breath blew on her face and she let out a soft moan. Thorin looked down at her tired and confused face.

"She's conscious" Thorin said as he crouched down and placed Rebekah on a nearby rock. Rebekah scratched her head and straighten her spine as her eyes fell on the dwarfs worried faces around her.

"What happened?" Rebekah asked with a scared yet confused look.

"You were knocked out, you elves have always had a bad reaction to that kind of light and sound. Your eyes and ears are more sensitive than the rest of us. But you will be fine" Gandalf answered. She gently nodded.

"We thought you had died for a moment, but I'm happier than ever to see you alive and well" Bofur said with his friendly voice and smiled at her. She smiled back at him.

"Where's Bilbo, where is our hobbit?" Gandalf suddenly asked. Rebekah's smile quickly disappeared and she started to look around the area.

"Curse the halfling, now he's lost?" Dwalin snapped.

"I thought he was with Dori" Gloin yelled.

"Don't blame me" Dori snapped back. The dwarfs started arguing about who was with Bilbo and who saw him last. Rebekah looked at them and rolled her eyes.

"Well what happened? Tell me!" Gandalf yelled and turned to Nori.

"I'll tell you what happened, Master Baggins saw his chance and took it, he's thought of nothing but his soft bed and his warm hearth since he first stepped out of his door, we will not be seeing our hobbit again" Thorin said with an angry voice.

"Thorin don't talk about him like that" Rebekah said and looked at Thorin.

"You know it's true, we all do!" Thorin yelled and turned his angry and frustrated face towards Rebekah. He walked towards her and slowly leaned his face closer to hers. His breath was trembling out of anger and his icy blue eyes had turned black.
