*As they sat together, Master Kenji and Kurai engaged in a conversation covering different facets of life. Within their dialogue, Master Kenji offered Kurai a valuable piece of guidance, emphasizing the distinctiveness of each individual's way of living and the importance of cherishing every moment of the time gifted in one's lifetime. Master Kenji urged Kurai to keep this quote in mind and follow it. Kenji also told Kurai about the Isshin clan and that he wished he could have teached him their sage mode but because he wasnt born into the clan the traditional way he wont aquire their sage mode. Kurai laughs it off and pats his shoulder and tells him he doesnt mind not having some stupid clan's sage mode because he's powerhouse of his own.
After pondering over the quote, Kurai developed a fresh comprehension and admiration for all that had transpired until that point. Kenji had presented Kurai with a necklace embellished with a courageous symbol as a gesture of friendship. Seeking some clarity, Kurai headed towards the temple to observe their reflection in the mirror. Abruptly, a shadowy figure flew past and crashed into the ground, causing a tumultuous shake. From a distance, Master Kenji witnessed Yamoshi exuding an eerie and disquieting chakra energy.

Yamoshi inquired about Kenji's sage power, but Kenji warned him to stay away or face an attack. Yamoshi, however, merely chuckled and tilted his head, revealing a powerful green eye that left Master Kenji astonished and afraid of having his sage energy drained. Suddenly, Yamoshi teleported behind Kenji and swiftly kicked him to the ground.

Master Kenji took off and launched a Sage Rasengan, causing the surrounding landscape to crumble. Yamoshi evaded the attack and grabbed Kenji's wrist, sapping his energy and absorbing the Rasengan. Kenji retaliated with a quick sidekick and backhand strike to Yamoshi's face, sending him to the ground. Kenji didn't stop there, unleashing a massive Giant Sage Rasengan. However, Yamoshi called forth vines that ensnared Kenji, rendering him immobile. Kurai then entered the fray and attacked Yamoshi.
