*At 8 p.m., Young Zumo was strolling around the area, enjoying himself and sipping on apple juice, while Konasa suddenly appeared and snuggled up to him. Unfortunately, Naruto and Sasuke were away on missions and not available to protect the Village. So, Zumo and his girlfriend were left to relax and unwind.
As they started to doze off, a Shinobi from the Hidden Leaf interrupted their peace and requested Zumo's presence in the Hokage's office, equipped with his gear. Zumo felt anxious upon hearing the summons.
Upon arrival, Kakashi greeted Zumo with a stern expression and explained that Yamoshi had returned and was plotting to attack the Village. Kakashi implored Zumo to join the fight and defeat Yamoshi, even if it meant killing him. Zumo hesitated and questioned why he was the only one being called upon, prompting Kakashi to reveal that Naruto and Sasuke were absent for a month.
With a heavy heart, Zumo reluctantly agreed to help, donning his cloak and mask in preparation for the impending battle.

Kakashi halts him in his tracks and instructs him to descend to the sealing room. Zumo expresses curiosity regarding the sealing room, prompting Kakashi to urge him to follow without delay. They make their way into the Sealing Lair, leaving Zumo awestruck by what he witnesses. Kakashi directs Zumo to extend his dominant hand, which he promptly does. A jutsu is placed on Zumo's hand by Kakashi, resulting in a sealing symbol being imprinted on his palm. Kakashi informs Zumo that this symbol can seal the Otsutsuki mode within Yamoshi, but two people are required to carry out this sealing. "Where is Kurai?" Kakashi queries Zumo.

Zumo's response to the request to find someone and send guards to locate him is to shrug his shoulders and declare that he doesn't have time for that. Instead, he dashes out of the hideout and prepares to engage in the impending battle. Kakashi expresses his disbelief and hopes that they will be able to overcome Yamoshi. Meanwhile, Zumo takes to the skies and flies over the Village wall, informing the guards that he is on a critical mission. As Zumo departs, Kurai catches sight of his departing friend. A guard approaches Kurai and urges him to visit Lord 6th. Kurai's anxiety mounts as he sprints towards the Hokage's office.
