Como en español, en inglés hay también verbos, que no siguen una regla determinada. Estos verbos se llaman "irregular verbs", y hay que aprenderlos de memoria. Son tan numerosos que vamos a aprenderlos poco a poco.
Ejemplos importantes:
Ser/estar – to be : was
- I was at home.
Ir – to go : went
-You went to the supermarket.
Haber/tener – to have : had
-They had a good lunch.
Venir – to come : came
-He came to the doctor.
Cantar – to sing : sang
-Clara sang at the opera.
Beber – to drink : drank
-The man drank lemonade.
Hacer – to do : did
-We did our homework.
Comer – to eat : ate
-You ate your dinner at the restaurant.
Dar – to give : gave
-I gave you the money.
Leer – to read : read
-I read the book in four days.
Correr – to run : ran
-We ran out of the house.
Decir – to say : said
-That's what I said yesterday.
Ver – to see : saw
-I saw a cat on the street.
Pensar – to think : thought
-I thought about my life.
Bueno estos solo algunos verbos irregulares iré añadiendo algunos en las demás clases.
