Note: this story will be on different point of views.
Rukmini and other wives of Krishna are not the incarnations of Goddess Lakshmi.

Yash pov

“Devi understand, I'm in love with someone, I do not love you.” I say to Devi Rukmini.
“Then tell who she is!”
“I'm not in the position of revealing her identity Devi, please understand.”
“I am understanding everything Yashdev, and hence, I, Rukmini, curse you that you will not forget your so called lover and live on earth but you will torture her mentally! She will be heartbroken by you because you will marry me!” Rukmini curses me, tears streaming down her face.
“Devi, I don't love you. My priye has nothing to do with this, curse me but do not her drag her in this. NOT HER.” I say.
“If she is your lover, then even if I do not bring her between this, she will be dragged into this. So we might as well let the whole aryavart know her identity. My curse will fulfill.”
After saying this she vanishes into thin air.

Niyati pov

I hear our curse from premlok.
I knew it was going to happen but it still hurts.
A few tears escape and trail down my cheeks.
Behind me my brother, Narayan comes. His presence is itself divine.

I look behind me to see Narayan, the Jagatpita, with his hands carrying the sudarshan chakra, his gada, shankh and his beloved lotus. His blue skin shining like a bright star with mormukut on his head.

“Behen, why has this happened? Is it because-?”
“Yes bhrata. It is all because of her. And I can't do anything. But bhrata, I want a boon from you.”
He closes his eyes.
“Don't ask me to do this behen, I have given my word to Yashdev that I will not listen to you.”

“But bhrata, you know it's going to happen, might as well be from you. From you, it'll be a boon. Give me my boon of going to earth along with Yash. Please bhrata, you know it's inevitable. You promised me that you will do anything I ask you to.”
“But I swore to Yashdev that I'll never let you do it again, not you.”
“Dhanyawad Aaradhya.” I hear Yash's voice. I turn to look at him.
“Why can I not come with you, it's my right to be with you. You cannot do that. You cannot seperate us.”

“I am protecting you, and do you think I can see you get hurt by the actions I'm going to do on earth. I cannot. It is unbearable to me. I cannot see you drown in the water filled by you again.
Narayan won't curse you, and he's the only one who can do it. Now you can't be broken. My actions won't hurt you now. No one will allow you to go on earth.”

“Yash, I think you tend to forget that I am Niyati. I wrote what's going to happen, how it's going to happen. Do you really think I will seperate myself from you? You very well know that in the end, what happens is what I have decided.” I say, tears forming at my eyes again but I don't let it fall. I don't let anyone see my tears, except Yash.
Not even Bhrata Narayan.

As soon as I say my words, the goddess of wealth, Devi Lakshmi comes in front of us, walking gracefully towards us in her bright red saari. The shine in her eyes tell me she knows what to do.
“Narayan might not be able to give her the boon, but I can. I'm his ardhangini. I'm him and he's me. We're one. So I, Lakshmi, give you Devi Niyati, a boon-"
“Mata no!”
“-that you will forget your memories and live on earth.”
She gives me a teary smile.
I return her smile.

“Dhanyawad Bhabhi. I knew you would understand my condition.” I turn to Yash, “we need to talk.”
Bhaiya and bhabhi leave giving us privacy.
“Why Niyati,  why again? Were hundred rebirths not enough?”
“This is the last, Yash, this is the last.
After this, even she will not be able to seperate us.”
“Your mother did this? Why does she hate you so much?”
“I don't know. All I know is she changed my destiny last time. She changed the hundred years to hundred rebirths. She is the one ruining everything for us. But now, I'm done. I'm done with this. I'm done with her.”
“So you will come down.” I see the tears in his eyes ready to fall.  Don't Niyati, it will just hurt you and me. I cannot bear this again.”
“Do you think seeing you down there and me staying here will make us feel better? Isn't it better that we'll be together for atleast some time?”

“It is but I'll break you, I am cursed to do that.” Yash says, miserable. His and my tears fall together.
I smile at him, mischievously, wiping my tears and his.
“You will break me Yash but I come back together as I am. And you forget, I know what I'm getting into.”
“Of course, you know everything” he says, rolling his eyes.  But then he becomes serious.
“It was time for Narayan to go on earth. Maybe instead of giving him his share of aloneness, I do his job with his guidance. What do you think?” he asks me.

“I think” I say, “that it wasn't in his destiny to go on earth.”
We both smile.
“We'll get married after this Niyati, I have had my share of curses now.”
I turned away, looking down on earth, where so many adharmis were there.
“I told you Yash, this is the last, we will get married but after I destroy her.”
He hugs me from behind and rests his chin on my shoulder.
“While you're at that, try to increase your height so I don't have to bend so much.”
I hit him on head.
“Shut up”

“It's time for you to go Yash. It's time for us to seperate.”
“Don't be negative priye, think of this in a positive way. Think how we'll seperate for sometime only to meet on earth again. It's time for us to teach the world a last lesson, atleast last from our side.”
I hummed, tears forming in my eyes.
“You tell bhrata Narayan how it's not his turn to go on earth.”
“He is my brother Yash, he knows things as well as me.”
He kisses me on the forehead.
“We'll meet soon.” I whisper.
“We will, priye.”
