Niyati pov

How do you let go of a person who feels like home?
How?

Niyati pov

Not one King could win the swayamvar.
None.

"What should I do now, Vasudev?" King of Panchal, Draupad asks. "You told me only two people could win this swayamvar, Rajkumar Arjun and Angraj Karna. Angraj Karna..., and Arjun, he hasn't come yet."

Wait.
He knows we're alive? Yash told him?

I glare at Yash trying to understand him, I never really could.

Why does he want Arjun to marry Draupadi?

It just doesn't add up.

Nothing does, when it comes to Yash.

"Keep patience, Panchal Naresh."
He says, with a smile on his face, as he turns to look at me and winks.

I open my mouth to whisper angry comments regarding busting our truth to King Draupad.
But before I could say anything, he ordered me.

"Radha, get me a glass of water, will you?" He says, sweetly, with a twinkle in his eyes.

I grit my teeth and mutter, "Why not, your majesty. Of course, I'm here just to serve you, My Lord." and go away getting him water.

Behind me I hear King Draupad ask again, "Now what to do, Vasudev?" But I don't hear Yash answering his question.

***
To spite Yash, i got him a hot glass of water, instead of a normal temperature one.

I give him the glass smirking, and he takes it, looking at it suspiciously.

When he gets a proper hold of the glass, he gasps, feeling warm.

"What happened, Vasudev? Is the water not according to what you desire? I'll get you another dasi and fire her right away." Shikhandini says, eyeing me dangerously.

I have to say, Shikhandini didi has a great style. She wasn't wearing what a girl is supposedly supposed to wear. She was wearing a red dhoti and her armour. Her hair open and her eyes wild.

Maybe once all of this is over, I'll come here and ask her to share her look with me.

I'm not scared of her, but a dasi would be, and so I lower my head, pretending to fear her.

"No no, she has done nothing wrong."

"Then why did you gasp, as if she did something wrong?"

"It's just that I was thinking about something."

"Okay then, drink, Vasudev." she says, looking at him.

And when he does drink, I feel my mouth becoming warm.

What is happening? I wonder.

You were trying to spite me, priye, and it back-fired. I hear Yash's voice laugh.

I let out a sigh, hoping to catch cold air.

How is this possible? He is drinking water but I am feeling the hot water go down my throat?

This is not fair, Narayan.

While this was happening I didn't notice that King Draupad had announced something to which all the Brahmins were cheering.

"What happened?" I ask Yash, whispering.

"King Draupad allowed the Brahmins to take part in the swayamvar." he whispers back.

I look towards the Brahmin crowd and immediately recognise my brothers as all of them were looking at Arjun.

I see them communicate through eyes, and then they start to leave.

"Will you not participate, Young Brahmins?" Yash shouts as he sees them walk away.

They look back at Yash and then behind me, that is, me.

And I see that all of them recognise me in a second.

They all question me, as to why I'm here, and that too with their Madhav.

But to answer, I just shake my head, as if annoyed.

I see the hint of smiles on their face as they see my annoyed face and Yash's smiling one.

"You have the opportunity of a lifetime and you'll just give it up? Take this chance, young Brahmins. You never know what you will find until you seek it."

I see Jyestha's mouth move with a smile, indicating he is asking Arjun to participate.

He seeks Jyestha's and Bheem's blessings then turns, heading towards the arena.

He looks at me and joins his hands. He is asking for my permission.

I smile and nod.

To the world it may seem like he is being respectful, but in reality, he is seeking my blessings which will be with him.

Always and forever.

He respects the bow and then picks it up in one shot.

I join my hands.

Hey Yashdev, please be with my brother and help him succeed. I pray.

In front of me, Yash sighs, smiling.

Arjun aims for the eyes of the fish and is then successful.

I gasp.

He did it.
My brother did it.

Draupadi and Arjun will get married.

I may not be able to cheer loudly, but I can pray. Thank you so much, Yashdev. Thank you so much Narayana.

I grin when Yash looks back at me with a similar grin.

Arjun and Draupadi do the varmala ceremony as the flowers fall in their grace.
