Niyati pov

He keeps calling me by playing his flute.
He knows I can't be seen.
And if he does want to see me, why doesn't he come to me?
Little did I know...
***

Well, I got lost.
After I ran from there, I entered some type of forest and after that I'm just...astray.

Then, I hear the sound.
The tune of flute so sweet that it could give someone cavity.
It was the tune of love.
It was soft and mellow.
It was calling out to me.

I keep walking and walking, following the tube of love, before i reach a peaceful place.
But, I don't hear the flute anymore.
I look here and there, in order to find the person playing the flute. But I have no luck. But then, I notice my surroundings.

It was a garden, filled with flowers on the ground and everywhere.
There was not a place left with flower.
It was magical
But then, my gaze got stuck on the swing.
If this is what a swing looks like, then you can say I've never seen or sat on a swing.
It was simply the most beautiful swing.

Each string of the swing was filled with flowers as well, but it was attached with a peacock handle.

It was just so mesmerizing.

I walk and sit on the swing, closing my eyes.
The environment was so calm that on could stay there forever.
But then suddenly, someone swings me.

I yelp and catch the string so I don't fall.

Behind me I hear a deep laugh.

"Did I scare you Rajkumari Niyati?"
I hear Manmohan, no Madh- Vasudev Krishna say.

I turn myself to look at him in the eyes, which were as usual, filled with mischievousness.

"If you come behind someone and start to swing them without their knowledge, then wouldn't that someone be scared?
And don't call me Rajkumari."

"Why? Are you not a Rajkumari?"

"That's-" I sigh, "Just call me Niyati. I don't like my title being used to acknowledge me. And also don't use 'Ji' at the end of my name either."

"Well, then you also don't have to call me Vasudev Krishna too, Niyati"

"You have many names, what should I call you? Krishna? Madhav? Kanha? Vasudev? Manmohan?"

"You can call me Yash."

"But that isn't what anybody calls you" I say, confused.

"Because that name is only what you will call me priye, Here, I am Yash only for you, no one else."
Yash mutters, not letting Niyati hear what he said.

"What did you say?"

"You only said I've got too many names, then that's the name you can call me."

"Yash." I try out his name, feeling familiarity on my tongue.

"Yes?"

"Oh no, I was just trying out your name."

He hums, and continues swinging me.

"So how did you come here? This is my area." He asks me.

"Oh well, I heard the most beautiful tune of flute. I just followed it and here I am. Do you know someone who plays flute Yash?"

"Yeah I do."
"Does he play amazingly? If he does then I'm sure it's him."

"I guess he does."

"Do you know his name?"

"Yes, I do."

"Well what are waiting for? Tell me his name."

"His name is....Yash."

I stop the swing and turn again.

"You play the flute?" I question him, shocked.
He smiles, nodding his head. And then turns me and continues to swing me.

"I didn't know you played the flute."
"Why you wouldn't have complimented me?"
"Well, yes, you did embarass me out there and lied to me. And where did you even find the flute? When I saw you, i didn't see any flute on you."

He hums.
"It was right here, I came here and then started to play."

We both stay silent for a while.

"So, are you going to tell me what really happened there on the beach?
I know you were only Manmohan, and you lied about your identity, then why did you not tell anyone that?" I ask him.

"I have a reason for everything I do Niyati." he replies.

"So why don't you tell me that reason?" I

He chuckles.
"Nice try, but time will tell everything Sakhi."

"Sakhi? When did become your friend?"

"From the moment I saw you, Sakhi. Or should I say, Radha. You know, I'm not the only one who hid their identity."

My cheeks heat.

"I said that only because I didn't want to addressed as a Rajkumari. I didn't want anyone coming close to me and disturb my freedom."

"My reason was the same Sakhi."
I open my mouth to argue but then close it. He has a point.

"Why did you need freedom? Aren't you free?"

"Aren't you free too Sakhi?"

"Technically, I am, but in terms of me being a female, I'm not." I say, lowering my head, while Yash swings me.
"I'm saying this only because you referred me as a friend, and my brother's seem to respect you a lot.
So on basis of that and what I've heard about you being philosophical like me, I'm trusting you and telling you something I've never told anyone."

He just smiles, "Continue Sakhi."

"My father always treated me as equal to my brothers.
I don't have the habit to lower my head and listen to males ordering me around and not have a say in anything. It just doesn't feel right.
I was denied of learning warfare, i had to run away so that I can master in weapons.
You know right before I came here, my own Mata told me that girls aren't supposed to fight in wars. Is that what you think too Yash?"

"No, absolutely not, girls have the right to learn warfare if they want. Infact, I think it's necessary for girls to learn warfare. And you know, I also think that if the girls learn how to fight, boys won't even need to take their weapons.
I mean I certainly don't like handling any weapons."

I laugh.
"If only everyone in this world had your perspective Yash. If only that would have happened."

"I guess I'll forgive you. And you can tell me about what really happened there."

"When the time comes Niyati, I will tell you."

"You better, or else I'll hit you bad, you already know that I know how to use a weapon.

He chuckles, "I certainly do." he says, still swinging me.
***
Yash pov.

I play the flute, but not because I'm calling her.
I'm playing this to tell her, our meet is near.
I'm coming to clear out all the misunderstandings.
I'm coming, priye.
