Chun-ja rubbed her eyes to clear her vision and glanced at her surroundings but her eyes widened in shock at the view in front of her. A loud scream escaped her throat out of terror as she flinched back and fell on the couch, trying to move back from them as much as possible.

Beads of sweat formed on her forehead as she gulped thickly when the feral and rapacious predators in front of her - a lion and a black panther, who were fighting with each other a few seconds ago, halted their actions as they both snapped their heads towards Chun-ja on hearing her shrill and high-pitched scream.

One thing to be noticed was that these animals were much bigger than any normal lion or panther. Chun-ja felt that it was somewhat related to something that she knew or she had seen but she couldn't pinpoint as to what this weird feeling was indicating but she immediately veiled her mouth with her hands on realising that her scream had drawn the attention of the perilous creatures towards her. She stood up from the couch as she slowly took a step back without breaking eye contact with the predators. The lion and the panther both looked at each other as if they were communicating through their eyes. They both turned their attention towards her again as they snarled slowly, taking a few steps towards her. Chun-ja felt her eyes welling up as the two monsters' full attention was on her. She slowly took more steps back as she backed away from them as much as she can before her back hit the door of her room which was unfortunately closed.

The lion growled slowly in a predatory way which resulted in Chun-ja flinching as she fell down on the floor as her knees gave up due to fear. She felt her hands and feet getting colder by each passing second due to the immense trepidation she felt at that moment. By now,the lion and panther had reached close to her , so close that Chun-ja felt that she was ready to take a trip to the stomachs of the monsters in installments , any second now. Her vision became blurry as big blobs of tears emerged from her orbs. She whimpered as she tried to call for help but failed miserably as her lips quivered hysterically in fear. She closed her eyes tightly as tears streamed down her cheeks , ready to see her whole life flash in front of her eyes as they say it did before one's death. Many thoughts such as - Is this the end ? That's it ? My death came too early. I wanted to live. I wanted to take my parents and people's revenge and so on - rushed through her walnut sized brain but all these thoughts terminated as Chun-ja's eyes shot open at the sudden feeling of something cool and liquidy brush against both her cheeks. What was that? She brought her hand up to her right cheek as she touched it and realised that it was ..... saliva!? What the fevikwik?!

She snapped her head towards her right but flinched back as she made direct eye contact with the lion whose face was only a few inches away from her but unlike a few minutes ago , it was sitting there wagging it's tail like a domestic animal. As she flinched back , her head hit something hard. She yelped as she turned around and looked at her right only to see the panther sitting their mirroring the lion's manner as it sat there like a good pet. It was then that it hit Chun-ja. Did the lion and the panther just licked her cheeks ? What in the quantam physics? She knitted her eyebrows as to why the animals that were ready to devour her alive a few moments ago , were now licking her face like good pets. Are they anyhow tasting her first to cheek if she was tasty enough to eat ? Chun-ja snapped out of her thoughts as the lion licked her cheek again as he spoke, " Did you like it? " Wait! WHAT ?! The.Lion.spoke?

She snapped her head towards the lion with wide eyes and a mystified look on her face , bewildered by the fact that it was speaking ..... but she had a weird feeling in the pit of her stomach as if she knew the lion , as if she was familiar to the lion but before she could say something she heard another voice saying , " Hey ! I will also lick her cheek again if you did." She snapped her head towards the source and found that it was none other than the black panther itself. Before she could say something the panther licked her cheek again , covering her cheek with a fresh coat of saliva.
