Chun-ja, who was listening to him very carefully, asked " But what ?" as she desperately wanted to know that if Jungkook had no intention of harming anyone then why did he become a monster when the war actually started.
Jungkook sighed before he continued, "But .... it was where I was wrong. I was wrong when I thought that I could outsmart my parents. It was where the problem started. I thought that I was the one playing the game but in reality, they were playing with me. They knew very well what I was trying to do. It was the thing which I failed to notice that affected all of our lives atrociously."
Chun-ja stared at him utterly confused as to what his parents had to do with all of this when in reality he was the one who killed her loved ones.
Jungkook looked into her eyes, knowing it very well that she might be confused by his words. "See, neither I think that you would understand all of it if I tried to explain it to you nor I have the courage to say all of it.. so, it would be better if you would witness it with your own eyes." Chun-ja looked at him getting more confused but Jungkook lightly squeezed her hands as if preparing her to witness something...... horrible. He tightly clutched her hand and instructed her, " Just close your eyes."
Chun-ja reluctantly nodded and closed her eyes. She felt Jungkook's grip tightening before she saw a bright illumination filling her vision which then almost immediately faded away as she the figure of a sixteen-year-old Jungkook standing in a hallway of what seemed to be like the palace in Hell, in which they were currently present. She heard the present Jungkook asking her if she was able something. She slowly nodded and responded, " Yes... I can see the younger you .... in a hallway....in Hell."
The present Jungkook nodded as he spoke, " Okay... Now, everything from my memory about that incident is going to flash in front of your eyes via my superpowers. Just be patient and see what actually happened." Chun-ja nodded with her eyes closed as she saw the younger Jungkook walking in the hallway looking here and there as if he was searching for something or someone.
Flashback
Sixteen-year-old Jungkook sighed as he walked through the empty hallway. To be honest, he didn't want to attack Serenity but he couldn't back off either otherwise his parents would do something much worse but he couldn't just sit there doing nothing and then go around killing innocents just for their greedy desires. He just couldn't.
He inhaled deeply as he took a last glance at his surroundings, making sure that the hallway was empty and that there was no one to eavesdrop on the conversation he was about to have with them.
Once he was sure that no one was there, he stood in front of the door to a room in the hallway and twisted the doorknob before he entered the room and closed it almost immediately, making sure to lock it properly. He turned around to be met with the sight of Namjoon, Jin, Yoongi, Hoseok, Jimin and Taehyung sitting on the couches in the room with a serious look on their faces. As soon as they heard the sound of the door closing, they turned their attention towards Jungkook who had just entered the room.
