Before Chun-ja could even process anything , they both were standing in an isolated area but unlike the last time , it was a forest. A beautiful one. She could see the reflection of the sparkling stars twinkling in the sky , in the stock-still water of the lake. She lifted her head up to gaze at the stars which appeared to become more mesmerizing by each passing second. The silhouette of trees and hills was visible which enhanced the aesthetic factor of the picturesque even more.
" Whoa~" she said enthralled by the magnificent vista in front of her. Lee Rang smirked and flexed , " Admit it or not , I always choose the best locations. Don't I ? " Chun-ja came back to her senses when she heard his voice. She turned towards him as she took a deep breath and said , " Tell me what you wanted to. "
" Ah-ha , Straightforward , huh? Well, Okay then. So coming to the point. " He said as he expressions turned serious.
" Well , I don't know if you remember it or not but I told you that I am a resident of Serenity , a place in heaven and that I am an angel. " He said as he looked at her for her reaction. She slowly nodded her head as she said , " I remember but what about that? "
" Well , what if I tell you that when I met you last time it was not our first meeting ? What if I tell you that you .......... are not a normal human being ? That you are the Princess of Serenity? That we both used be friends before ? Well , it was until the Lucifer entered our lives. What if I tell you that we all were living very happily but your sweet Oppa was the one who killed your parents - the King and Queen of Serenity ? That he was the one who played with your trust? That he was one who wiped out almost half of the innocent citizens of not only Serenity but many other places in heaven where angels resided? That he was the one who ruined the lives of the people of Serenity whom you loved so much? That he was the one who captured the souls of the innocent angels like it was nothing ?
That he was the one who destroyed your peaceful life ? That he was the reason why you were sent to earth with no memories of your life in Serenity ? That he was the one who took your as well as my loved ones away from us ? Will you believe me ? " He said all of this with teeth gritted in anger as well as pain.
His bottled-up anger dripped through his words as he recalled those unfortunate memories. His eyes turned a little glossy as tears of anger as well as pain formed in his eyes but he didn't let them fall. No , he couldn't. He was not that weak. He had swore to cry his heart out only after he had taken revenge. Revenge from the murderer who took his parents' lives , who took their King and Queen's lives and who even tried to harm the beloved Princess of Serenitians. He took a deep breath to calm himself as he turned towards Chun-ja with his infamous smirk , " Tell me , Will you believe me , Princess Yeon ? "
She immediately looked at him as he called her ' Princess Yeon '. This title somehow triggered something inside her. It felt unfamiliar yet so familiar. She felt a connection with that name. " Will you ? " She snapped out of her thoughts on hearing Lee Rang's voice. She looked at him for a second and she shook her head timidly. " I-I don't even know who to believe at this point. " She said as she looked away from him.
