"What?! A cat?! So she actually potioned you?!" Aphmau asked, trying not to laugh as I glared at her and sat down at my desk, placing my bag down next to my seat.
"Yes. And it's not funny. My mom would not leave me alone." I grunted and placed my head down on my desk. She sat down in her spot next to me.
"You got turned into a cat?!" Travis asked with surprise.
"Yes! I was sitting against a wall and Lucinda dropped a potion out of a window and turned me into a cat." I whined. "This is embarrassing, can we not?"
"Pfft, I bet you looked cute as a cat." Travis teased, to which I just flipped him off.
"Fuck. Off."
"You love us, Lauren." Aphmau sighed.
"Yeah, but you're still dicks." I rolled my eyes, feeling that same stare from yesterday.
Aphmau sighed and I pulled out my book. I didn't get to finish it last night like I wanted to.
I tuned out the conversation my two friends were having and focused on my book. I'd join in if I thought it concerned me.
After a few minutes I squirmed around in my seat excitedly. "Aha! I finished!" I squealed.
"Alright students, settle down." My homeroom teacher spoke loudly into the classroom and looked up, shutting my book and dropping it into my bag.
There was a student next to him, with brown hair and green eyes.
"I know we're in our homeroom period right now, but I have an announcement to make!"
I folded my arms on top of my desk and rested my chin on top, giving him my full attention.
"We have a new transfer student joining our class!" 'Oh, this early in the year?' I wondered as he continued speaking. "Everyone, welcome Vylad Ro'Meave."
Oh.
When he said younger brother, I thought he meant...
"Hi!" He piped up excitedly.
"Wait... Ro'Meave... does that mean you're related to.."
"Yep! That emo kid in the back of the room is my older brother." He confirmed with a proud smile, and I glanced over to Zane and then back up at Vylad. "Hey bro!"
Zane growled in annoyance. "Shut up, Vylad!"
I frowned.
I knew what that was like.
"Well... That's one way to say 'hello' eheh..." Vylad frowned and glanced at the floor.
"Well, I didn't know you had another sibling, Zane. Must be nice to have two brothers in the same school. " Vylad nodded, picking up his spirit. "Now, Vylad. Take a seat." Vylad wasted no time in begining to walk to the back of the room. "Now, everyone make sure to make him feel at home." The teacher instructed and went to sit back down at his desk.
I kept my eyes on Vylad as he went up to Zane's desk, curious.
"Zane! Boy am I glad you're here." He smiled like a kid in a candy store.
Zane scoffed and looked back down at his book. "Whatever. Just stay away from me. It's bad enough I have to babysit you in highschool."
"O-Oh. Eheh... Okay Zane.. Um, cool.. Um... I'll see you around!" He laughed awkwardly and walked away.
Damn I felt bad.
That was an asshole move, Zane.
He walked by our desks with his head hanging.

FanfictionI made adjustments because of the problematic content in the series, but this was a huge part of my childhood and couldn't help but fall back into it. It's a self insert rather than an oc insert, I just changed my family's names and home town.
