I had my dogs on their leashes as we walked through the park, using my right hand to hold onto the leashes tightly, and in my left hand I had my water bottle. "Percy, quit doing that-"
"Mom!" I heard someone whine. "I don't see why I need to come with you to the park!" They dragged the last word.
'Aphmau?' I questioned, stepping further into the park on it's path. I mean, it sounded like her.
"Because Mija, you need to get out of that house!" The mother scolded. "All you do is play that video game all day! Plus! Some fresh air and exercise never hurt anyone..."
'Well, that sounds like Sylvanna...'
"Look, all I'm saying is I'm glad you paused your game and decided to come out with me! Mommy appreciates it!"
"Respectfully miss," I interrupted causing them both to look at me. They seemed to both get excited. "You can't pause online games."
"Lauren!" "Lolo!" They both exclaimed as I walked over with a smile, my animals instantly going to their feet.
"Hiya! Wow, I love the fit, Miss Sylvanna." I smile at her before I took a sip of my water.
"Aw, thank you Lolo! Mija, what do you think?" She turned to her daughter with a bright smile.
Aphmau glanced to me for any help and I just shrugged. I mean I thought she looked great.
"I-It's a little revealing... eheh, but it looks great on you!" She smiled back.
"Who cares if it's revealing?" I scoffed. "Guys can go around with their shirts off all the time and no one says anything about it."
"Exactly!" Sylvanna nodded. "Thanks you two! It's pretty tight yo!"
"Mom! Where did you learn to talk like that?!" Aphmau asked frantically.
I snickered. I thought it was cute. My dad does the same thing.
"From an old friend of mine.." She looked around the park. "Speaking of which, she should be here any minute..."
"Wait- you invited another adult to join us?!" Aphmau asked before she groaned in frustration. "Mom!"
Aphmau's mom started laughing. "Of course I did... I didn't want to be seen alone with my daughter! She's so embarrassing." She replied sarcastically.
I snorted and would have slapped a hand over my mouth but they were both full.
"Don't sass me mom!" Aphmau shot back and then made a weird noise. "Wait, I should be saying that about you!"
Sylvanna giggled and I just watched the scene unfold. "Calm down mija! This other adult is cool. I just reconnected with her this week! And Lauren is here if she'd like to stay and hang out with you."
They both looked at me for confirmation and I just shrugged. "Sure, I don't care."
Aphmau gave me a thankful look before her mom started speaking again. "In fact, she's bringing her kids too! So while we're jogging and catching up, you can play with them!"
"Oh, so we're just free babysitters now?" Aphmau scoffed and rolled her eyes. I pulled my lips into a line, not really knowing what to do or say.
Sylvanna nervously laughed and Aphmau slumped against the bench she was sitting in. "Fine... But you owe me!" Aphmau sighed as I took a seat by her and held onto the leashes tightly.
"So how old?" I asked, catching her attention again. "Like, five?"
"Hm?" Sylvanna paused. "Well.."
There was a sudden new voice I didn't recognize. "Hey girlfriend!"
