I had my chin rested on the palm of my left hand, my right doodling little pentagrams on my notebook out of boredom.
"And that's why you should always be sure to mark your territory." The teacher finished the lesson just before the bell rang, prompting me to sit up straight and pack up my bag.
"Alright students, we'll pick up this lesson again next class." He explained while waking towards the window. "Be sure to leave your homework on your desk if you haven't already." He broke the window with his fist just large enough to fit him through.
He was the one who said we need to cut back on the window breaking this year so like,
Not fair-
"And have a great weekend!" He finished before stepping through the window and dropping from it.
I sighed and dug out my homework from my bag.
"See you, Lauren!"
"Later, Dottie." I smile at her as she walked out of class. I stood up and walked to the front desk, placing my work on it.
There was a squeal next to me, making me jump. I turn to look and Aphmau next to me, bouncing on her toes. "I'm so excited! Do you have everything?!"
I smirk as we began walking out of class together. "Everything and a little extra."
Her smile brightened and she grabbed onto my arm, shaking me slightly. "You're the best!"
"I know." I giggle softly.
I then hear a mutter behind us. I glance back and stop, turning around. "Oh hey, Aaron, what's up?"
"Did you uh... Do the homework?" He asked, keeping his gaze down.
"Oh yeah, I-"
"What the- First thing you say to us in forever much?" Aphmau glared at him, making me sigh. "Why do you even care?"
"I'm just wondering." He states, bringing his eyes up to look at her. "I..might have wanted to copy it."
"Oh, I just turned it in but honestly if you go back in there and you change things up I don't mind-"
"It's not our fault you didn't do your stupid homework!" Aphmau huffed and I gave Aaron an apologetic look.
Aaron crouched down to her level. "Loser says what."
"What?" Aphmau echoed, raising a brow.
Literally the oldest trick in the book I-
Aaron laughs to himself and begins walking off. "Have a good weekend, Lauren."
"You..too.." I respond quietly, hearing Aphmau grunt. Motherfucker didn't even go copy the work-
"Since when are you and him friends-" She crossed her arms over her chest as I looked at her.
"We kinda just help each other out from time to time." I shrug. "I get why he annoys you but," I pause and glance to the side. "I dunno."
"He's a huge jerk!"
"It kinda just seems playful at this point."
"E-Excuse me.." Aphmau and I jump and turn around. I give a small exhale. Everyone loves scaring the shit out of me.
"Hey Nana." I smile gently. I nudge Aphmau. "She's in my kitchen in foods."
"Oh, hi Lauren!" She smiles, seeming slightly more comfortable.
"How you been, honey?" I shift my weight to on my leg, readjusting my bag strap. I wasn't taking the bus today, so no rush.
"I'm good! Is this-" She looked to my best friend. "Are you Aphmau?"

FanfictionI made adjustments because of the problematic content in the series, but this was a huge part of my childhood and couldn't help but fall back into it. It's a self insert rather than an oc insert, I just changed my family's names and home town.
