I had on my pink apron with my hair in a pony tail, the dogs at me feet as I got out the ingredients I had. "I had no idea!" I cried while my friend laughed on the phone.

"How though?!" She asked through laughter and I glared at her.

"It's not funny." I spoke slowly, glaring at the camera.

"Pfft, it's a little funny." She replied with a smirk. "How's the cupcakes?"

I sighed as I got out the tools I needed. "Not really going yet. My friend Lucinda should be on her way with the faux cocoa powder in a minute."

"You ran out?" She asked before yelling at her sisters through her door.

I stood there awkwardly and waited for her to finish. "Yeah. Not sure how though. Guess my dad just forgot to buy it after my last baking fit."

She hummed. "Wouldn't be surprised."

"So how's it going over there?" I asked, grabbing a whisk from a drawer. We had an electric mixer, but I preferred whisks.

"It's... Something, I'll tell you that."  She sighed.

"Oo, girl if you don't tell me-" The dogs started yapping right as I heard the doorbell ring. "I think Lucinda's here. Bye Adre, love you!"

"Love you too!" She said back, finishing our conversation as I pressed the end call button before making my way over to the door.

"Ella, if you don't back up I swear to Irene I'm gonna-"

"Lauren! Hurry up!" Lucinda's voice came from the other side of the door. I sighed and opened the door, grabbing her by the wrist and pulling her in before the dogs had the chance to run out the door.

She stumbled in but I held her wrist firmly so she wouldn't fall. "Irene, did you have to be that rough?" She hissed, yanking her wrist away from me.

"Yes I did. I don't trust my animals." I responded dryly, taking the bag that said 'Werewolf safe, faux cocoa powder!' in bold writing from the ginger. "They're fast as hell."

"Aren't you faster?" She asked, following me to the counter as I set the bag with the rest of the ingredients.

I went to the sink and turned it on to wash my hands. "Yes, but I get out of breath very easily. I stayed inside and in my bed most of the summer, and not being around werewolves that I can run with, I got out of shape real fast. My speed is still there though. Plus, second hand smoke lungs."

Lucinda was beside me, now washing her hands with her sleeves rolled up as I dried my hands. She had a frown displayed on her features.

"Well, you're making friends in your werewolf class though, right?" She asked, shutting the faucet off.

I shrugged. "My desk mate is pretty sweet. And there's Aphmau, but she's human." I told her, begining to sift the dry ingredients into a bowl. "Not sure if I would consider Dottie my friend yet though."

"Right, you want to be careful." She concluded.

"Yeah." I nodded and thought for a moment. "Poor thing almost got selected as Omega."

"Omega?" She asked. I sighed.

"It's this really stupid part of Werewolf culture where we have to hate whoever is pointed Omega." I shook my head. "I know I'm not supposed to, but I don't follow that rule." I paused. "I will however, listen to the Alpha as long as they have decent intentions. If they're shitty, I'd plan to overthrow them. I don't care if it's for male or female position. If we have to have two Alpha's, it shouldn't be gendered. I'd happily take over the role as Alpha male just to-"
