"I hope he likes it!" Alice clapped her hands as she took a look around the house.
"Pretty sure Jasper would love it, Alice. Relax." I said as I stopped her from spinning around. Watching her made me dizzy.
"All right, everything is set. Do we need to do anything else?" Emmett asked as he came down the stairs. We were at the Cullens' house for Jasper's surprise party and half of the senior year was invited. All of us came down early to help with the preparation while Edward kept Jasper busy by dragging him out for belt shopping.
"Nope! I think it's perfect!" Alice cooed. "Bella! Text Edward and tell him that they can come back now!"
"Sure." I pulled out my phone and texted Edward to bring back Jasper. I got a reply almost immediately and I knew Edward wasn't having fun shopping either.
"Bella! I need help outside!" Alice yelled and I ran outside after her. Everyone had started to come and the place was getting crowded. I pushed my way through and finally got to Alice. I helped her fix the coolers and the stereo that was placed outside while Rosalie did some final touches to the decorations.
"He's here!" Emmett boomed.
"Okay, everyone shut up." I instructed as I walked back into the house with Alice and Rosalie following me. "Emmett turn off the lights," I told Emmett and he nodded. "And when Edward turns on the lights when he comes in with Jasper, y'all should know what to do." I addressed everyone and I saw a few nods here and there.
Emmett turned down the lights and we kneeled down at the couch. After a minute, Edward walked in, talking a little too excitedly about the Hobbit. I tried to contain my laughter as I listened to their conversation; Edward knew nothing about the Hobbit. But as Edward turned on the lights, everyone stood up and yelled "SURPRISE!"
Jasper's jaw dropped while Edward grinned widely as he gave Jasper a man hug, wishing him a happy birthday. All of us came forward and took turns to hug Jasper.
"This went well." Edward said as he placed his coat on the rack.
"Your sister is really talented." I smiled.
"Edward!" I heard a familiar high pitched voice coming from behind and I froze. Tanya Young.
"Tanya?" Edward looked at her quizzically and then turned to look at me. "Hi." Edward muttered to Tanya.
"Hey! Oh hi Bella!" Tanya came over to us but walked around me to give Edward a hug that lasted a little too long; I took a step back. "Why haven't I seen you around school lately? Are you ignoring me Eddie?" Tanya's voice got unbearably high and I wrinkled my face in disgust. I turned around immediately, looking for Alice.
"Alice!" I whispered harshly as I pulled her away from the crowd. "What the hell is Tanya doing here?"
"She actually came?" Alice asked, appalled. "That bitch."
"What happened?!"
"Well firstly, I didn't invite her Bella, I promise." Alice's eyes widened. "I invited her other friends and I guess she must have heard it from them?" Alice whispered.
"So she just self invited herself?"
"I guess! But Bella, relax. Nothing is going to happen." Alice rubbed my arm. "I've a surprise for you and I think this is a perfect time to show it to you." Alice grinned as she took my hand and pulled me towards the door.
"Are you kicking me out?" I asked sarcastically and Alice rolled her eyes.
"I invited someone for your sake and also a little for mine." Alice chirped as she looked out of the large window by the door. It was so dark outside, I didn't even want to know what she was looking for. "Okay, he's coming. Open the door and try to forget about Tanya all right? Have fun!"
