Riiiing riiiiiing
"Geez." I groaned as I rolled to my side and picked up my phone.
Jacob calling
I sighed and sat up on my bed, switching on the bed side lamp as I answered the call.
"This better be an emergency." I said grumpily as I rubbed my eyes to stay awake.
"Yeah, I need to see you." Jacob's voice sounded strained, as if he had been crying.
"Hey, are you okay?" I asked as I got up from my bed. I walked to my study table and picked up my hoodie that was lying over my chair.
"Just need to see you now. Please?" Jacob pleaded.
"Yeah sure. I'll come over."
"No, I'll come over. I'm already on my way." Jacob said. I heard the engine roaring over the phone and I smiled.
"Okay, drive safe."
I hung up and went to the bathroom to wash my face and gargle my mouth. I checked the clock on the way downstairs and realized it was nearing 3am.
I wore my slippers and opened the door to head out as I heard a distant sound of a bike engine. I closed the door softly and walked out to the driveway. I leaned against the mailbox as I waited for Jacob to arrive. It wasn't long before he pulled up beside me.
"Hi." I said as I stayed leaned against the mailbox.
"Hey." Jacob walked over to me. "Are you still mad at me?" He asked.
"I wouldn't have agreed to see you if I was still angry." I smiled.
"Great." Jacob held my hands in his and kissed my knuckles. "I was afraid that you still were. I'm so sorry for acting like a douche earlier on."
"Well, you'll be forgiven if you promise to control yourself better next time." I pulled a serious face to show that I wasn't joking.
Jacob looked up at me. "Yes, promise." He kissed my forehead and I leaned into him, hugging him tightly.
"But I can't stop being bothered by him." Jacob continued. I pulled away to look into his eyes.
"Jacob, don't. I thought we were over this." I hated repeating myself over and over again.
"Yes we have but it's still an issue to me." Jacob took a step back to take a harder look at me.
"What do you want me to do now?" I sighed, crossing my arms.
"Just stay away from him. You think I like talking about him all the time? It would really mean a lot to me if you keep a real distance from him." Jacob held my waist and looked into my eyes.
"So I'm supposed to ignore Edward even though he's right there? Jacob, the six of us are together all the time." I tried to argue, showing him that it was easier said than done.
"Well, you've four other people to interact with." Jacob tightened his grip on my waist.
"Fine." I finally backed down. "But you've to let me tell Edward this. I can't just start ignoring him."
"You've done this before right? Why tell him now? He doesn't deserve it." Jacob frowned.
"Excuse me?" I raised my eyebrows.
"Well you haven't forgiven him for the Tanya thing right? Let him think that you're still ignoring him for that." Jacob casually continued.
"You're kidding right?" I stepped back so that Jacob wasn't holding my waist anymore.
