Bella's POV

I looked ahead and gawked at the beauty that lay in front of me. Edward and I were standing in a small meadow that was filled with wild flowers. There were tall trees surrounding us and the moonlight shone through the canopy like overhead lightings.

There was a slight fog that enveloped around us and it gave the whole scenery a misty appearance. I couldn't exactly tell what color the flowers were in the dark, but all of them seemed pretty. To add on, I could hear a fountain running close by.

"This is crazy." I said as I stared at the amount of space in front of me.

"How did you find this place?" I asked Edward as I turned around.

"It was by accident, honestly. Pretty cool huh?" He replied, smiling.

"Cool doesn't even cover it! This is like our own version of Narnia!" I exclaimed as I walk forward. I heard Edward follow behind me. I squatted down and looked at the flowers closely.

I wasn't a fan of flowers but I somehow liked being surrounded by them, especially right now, with Edward with me. I ended up sitting down as I plucked a flower and twirled it in my hands.

Edward sat down beside me and even though I didn't look up at him, I could feel him staring at me.

"What are you looking at?" I asked, still staring at the flower.

"I'm just wondering how something could be this beautiful." Edward muttered.

"I know right!" I looked up at Edward and smiled excitedly. "This place is amazing."

"I was talking about you." Edward whispered. Our eyes locked at that second and I felt myself blushing deeply.

"Yeah right." I murmured as I looked down.

"Hey, look at me." Edward placed his fingers under my chin and lifted my face up. "You're the most beautiful person I've ever laid my eyes upon and it's just a shame that I didn't make it known to you sooner."

Edward's fingers worked their way up along my jawline and I felt a tingling sensation flow through my body. I closed my eyes as Edward's fingers explored every bone on my face and I slowly opened them back as his palm cupped my cheek and I stared right at him.

I leaned into his touch and his warm hands gently pulled my face closer to his.

"So beautiful." Edward muttered. We were so close that our noses were almost touching. I yearned to pull him closer to me and just claim his lips but I stayed put as I didn't want to ruin the moment.

I brought my hands up to his face as well, stroking it ever so lightly. "Why didn't you figure this out sooner?" I whispered.

Edward laughed silently. "Why didn't you?"

"I did, but I just didn't have the guts to tell you." I sighed.

"Isabella Swan didn't have the guts? You're kidding right?" Edward joked. He dropped his hands from my face and held my hands instead.

"Oh shut up." I rolled my eyes. "This is different. It's a huge deal, plus I thought it was kind of obvious already. You're such an oblivious idiot." I muttered.

Edward reached out to tuck a lock of my hair behind my ear. "I know now, and that's all that matters." He whispered.

"But, do you ever think it's too weird? I mean we are best friends."

"That thought has never crossed my mind. We have always had something between us, you know? We just didn't realize it then." Edward stroked my hands. "I could never imagine myself with anyone else. It hurts to even know that I had shunned you for so long." He looked down at our hands. "Why? Do you feel weird about this?"
