Mei walked out of the house that once belonged to her. She turned around and looked at it again.
"I'll take back everything that's rightfully mine!" She said in rage. Yet her soft heart made her cry again.

"You need help in that case," a male voice came from behind her.
She turned around and saw the male who had picked her up last night and drove her here this morning.
"You're still here?" She said raising an eyebrow after wiping her tears fast. She hated crying in front of others. Mostly strangers.
"Of course." He smiled softly though his face was emotionless all this time.
Mei nodded.

"How will you help me?"
"Join my company. You will get highly paid. But if you marry me, I can give you my shares with what you can buy your company making it yours again." he said with a smirk.

Mei thought for a while and looked up at him once again.

"M..marry.." she mumbled.
"Hmm?" The male questioned without hearing clearly.
"Marry y-you!.." she said louder yet in confusion and blushing softly since it was embarrassing for her to ask a stranger to marry her.

The male seemed satisfied by her response. He landed her hand to him for her to hold it.
"My name is Cheng Rui."
"The Cheng family?! One of the richest in the world; that one?!" She said surprised.
Rui nodded as Mei put her hand into his.

"Let's get married today then," Rui said and Mei nodded. She couldn't wait to take her revenge on her family that had betrayed her. Mostly, Li Jin, the one she trusted the most.

"Hello. marriage registration? I'll be there in 30 minutes. Prepare the documents for a marriage." Cheng Rui said on the phone.
The other person just said
"Alright" and hung up.

Mei An was waiting inside the car. After finishing his call, he entered his car and drove to the marriage registration office.

"What's your name again, by the way?"
"Li Mei An"
"Hmm.. meaning?" He glanced at her for a bit.
"Beautiful..." she said looking outside the car by the window.

Chen Rui nodded and drove to the destination. None of them talked or questioned each other for a while.

-At the marriage registration-

The couple entered as everyone there bowed to the man coming inside.

"Hello President Chen," said a young man with red hair. He was quite cheerful and friendly. He jumped from the desk he was sitting on and came in front of Mei. He stared into her violet eyes with his orange eyes.
"Sooo~ she's the one you marrying?" He asked tilting his head glancing up and down at Mei.
"Shut up and give the papers," Rui said glaring at the male.
"Yes yes!" He said rushing to the table and put the papers on the desk.
"Sign here missy," said Chao Xiang, Rui's best friend.

Mei sat on the table, still silent and signed the papers of the marriage.
"Oh!" said Rui as if he just remembered something.
"There will be no divorces allowed."
"Mhm," Mei just nodded.
'As long as he's not a jerk we should be ok, right?? Anyways why would he marry a stranger like me out of nowhere?" She questioned herself.

Meanwhile, Chen Rui signed the papers and stood up.
"Let's go"

-A few weeks later-

Mei has gotten used to her married life. Actually, there was nothing much new. Maybe have dinner together from time to time but that's it. They barely talked to each other. But Mei started developing feelings for him. He was kind tho he didn't show it.

For example, he would cover her up when she would fall asleep on the sofa waiting for her and take her to bed.
He prepared breakfast before leaving for work. He always prepares gifts for her like pieces of jewelry, dresses, go watch her favourite movies. What a perfect husband! The only thing is he doesn't give much affection to her or talk to her.

'He's so nice. I wonder why he's so cold tho..' she pouted while glancing at him as he was asleep. She got closer to him and kissed his forehead softly with her warm lips.

Rui felt her lips on his forehead and blushed a bit. But he didn't open his eyes or anything. He just pretended to be asleep.

-The next morning-

Mei woke up earlier than usual. She saw her husband asleep next to him.
"What a cutie." She mumbled as he was sleeping. She pats his hair softly and went to the bathroom to fresh up.

She came back to find her husband always up.
"Oh my, you do get up first," she said giggling.
"Yeah." He said coldly and went into the washroom.
She pout cutely and opened the wardrobe to pick clothes for her husband.

Mei opened the wardrobe and found a packet of medicines.
'What's this for?..'
