First Doesn't Mean Last

He Is My Son

It was the voice of a child that woke Mei up from her dream. She looked down at the small boy trying to climb on her bed. She giggled and picked him up.

"What is it, honey?"

"Uncle TianTian is asleep and I miss you!" the cute child replied.

"Alright, alright. I'm awake now." She hugged him close and stroked his hair softly. She thought about the dream she just had, her past.

Chen Xue is the son of Chen Rui indeed. He is like the mini version of him. The same hair colour, the same pale skin, the same eyes... apart from the personality. He was born four years ago before she left for England.

Chen Zi and Chen Fei, her mother and father in law insisted for her to stay but she refused.

Mei sighed and looked at the clock hanging on the wall in front of her bed. It was exactly 10:27 pm.

She looked at her phone, someone sent her a text to meet at a bar at 11 pm.

"Xue'er, mommy needs to go somewhere." she pushed him off her chest and looked at him.

The boy was upset. He wanted to spend time with his mother but she wants to leave him. He gave off a cute and pitiful look to his mother.

Mei could support anything but watching her son being sad. She frowned and kissed her son's cheek.

"Do you wanna come with me?" she said with a grin.

"Yes!" the kid replied energetically.

'Phew. That's better!' Mei An thought with a slight sigh.

'Chen Rui... If only you could have seen our son growing up. I hope I'm taking good care of him and not disappointing you...'

-At the bar-

Chen Xue and Li Mei An got out of their luxurious blue car and walked towards a pub.

"Who's this?"

"She looks rich!"

"Hah no! She probably tricked a rich man and had his child. Don't you see the child?"

"He doesn't like her. Maybe she's just taking care of him to impress his dad and wants to be a stepmom!"

Lots of murmurs and whispers float in the pub but Mei didn't give any attention. She walked to table number 7. There were men and women gathered around that table.

There were 2 couples;

One of the men is Xi Qui. He is a rich man that doesn't need to work but he likes to mess around and work just for fun. He was already 22 years of age but behaved like a child. He has black curly hair. He has a little bit of brown skin. He is of average height. He wore a simple green t-shirt with black jeans pants.

Beside him, his girlfriend; Ju Ah-lan. She is an actress and already won a lot of awards. She will be 24 years old this year. She is a very cute girl and a beautiful girl. She is young, yet had a mature mentality. She had straight red long hair until her waist and a pair of golden eyes.

She was wearing a short white skirt with a yellow crop top.

The other couple was married. It was the Shui couple. Shui Zhen is one of the top businessmen. He's 28 years old. He has blonde hair and green jaded eyes. He is known to be a cold-hearted man but it's all an act. He is a real softie inside.

He wore a white suit that didn't match his personality.

As for his young wife, Shui Mian, she is a top designer that had made success since she appeared in that department. She is now 25 years old. She has light green hair and a pair of black eyes. She was taller than usual ladies. Plus she is very mature.
