First Doesn't Mean Last

Mei was staring at her phone as she wiped her tears off.
"Why so sad?" A little girl's voice asked.
Mei turned back and found a little girl that was at the height of her waist standing. She was wearing a pink princess-like dress with two ponytails tied on each side. She had big brown round eyes and a chubby face.
Mei kneeled and patted her head.
"It's nothing cutie. What are you doing here?" Mei asked looking around to see if her parents were around.
"I just wanted some air." The little girl said with a bright smile and walked to the terrace. "It's too hot inside. And too many people."
Mei grinned at the child.
"Alright, you take some fresh air then." After saying that, she walked back inside the ballroom.

"Mommy!" Xue ran towards Mei and hugged her legs tightly while panting.
Mei giggled and picked him up.
"What's going on honey? Don't run too much." She asked as she kissed his cheek.
"That man is here too!" The kid sad after catching up his breath.
"Which man?.." Mei asked raising an eyebrow.
"You know the very rude one. That comes everywhere we go!" Xue explained with his childish words that Mei couldn't understand.
"Which?-"

"Don't tell me you're talking about me," Lei cut Mei off from talking with a smirk on his handsome face crossing his arms as he landed against a pillar.
Mei rolled her eyes and walked away fast.
'This bastard again!'

-A few minutes ago-

After Mei walked away from Lei:

"Wait! Are you ignoring me again?!" Lei turned back to look at the woman walking away from him. He sighed and stroked his hair fast.
"Haha, serves you right." A kid's voice laughed. It was Chen Xue.
"You little!" Lei frowned and tried to catch Xue but he missed.
"How can be so fast??"
The kid ran fast looking for his mother. After running around for a few minutes,  he saw his mother coming back from the terrace.
"Mommy!"

-Back to present-

A woman with light brown hair tied up into a bun walked towards Lei. She held his arm between her breast.
"Lei, how have you been? We haven't met it being a while."
Lei made a disgusted face as he shook her off him.
"Woman, back off." He glared at her with a murderous stare.
The woman's face turned pale as she walked away fast.
"What's wrong with his?"
"I don't know... He changed a lot lately."
Some young women were gossiping surprised by the unusual behaviour of Xiao Lei.

"Sigh!"
"Why the long sigh, buddy?" A male with red hair and brown eyes walked towards Lei with his hand in his pants pocket. He was wearing a white suit and pants.
"Chiao Xiang?" Lei raises an eyebrow as he turned his head to look at the man talking to him. "We're not buddies. If being enemies counts as friends then I have too many, " he said again with a grin on his lips.
Xiang laughed as he heard that.
"You're very funny. You didn't congratulate me yet."
"Oh right. Congrats." Lei said half hearty and drifted away from him.

Xiang made a pouring face but got shocked when he felt a hand on his shoulder.
"Am I that crazy?" Daiyu asked with a sneer on her lips.
"Oh, no baby. Of course not!" he replied instantly like a machine. It was as if he was scared yet no because he might be scarier than Daiyu.
The woman wrapped her arms around his waist as she kissed him pulling him down. The male did the same.
Their heights made it hard to kiss each other but it was a very cute sight!

-At a bar-

"Woman, come here." A fat man around his 60's pulled a young woman.
She looked young yet old because of being malnourished. She had blonde hair and green eyes like jade. It was Li Xiuying, Mei's cousin.
"Let me go, you old man!" she yelled as she tried to push his hands off her waist.
The man gripped her waist even more tightly.
"Don't play hard to get. If you're here it's for this anyways." The man frowned and slapped her face leaving his hand marks on it.
Xiuying's eyes teared up from the pain inflicted upon her cheeks.

"Let her go." A woman's voice said firmly. Her silhouette was very beautiful and sexy. She had a magnificent body covered up with a black tight dress. She was wearing high heels around two inches long.
She walked towards the man and slapped his face with incredible force and grabbed the girl in his arms away. Her orange hair was wavy yet magnificent. Her blue eyes was very shiny in the dark.
"T-thanks." Li Xiuying bubbles as she fell to the ground from the shock.
"Who are you?!" the man yelled as he put his hand on the cheek that was just slapped.
"My name is Hao* Yixuan."
(*Hao means Good. )

The man kneeled quickly as he heard her name.
'She's the young princess of the Hao family! I can get bankrupt from my own business if I dare to offend them!..'
Hao Yixuan turned around to walk away as she felt a hand on her legs. She frowned and kicked the hand off her leg.
"How dare you?!"
"I-i'm sorry ma'am... But can you take me with you? I promise to do my best to help you. I can do any work. Just let me come with you!." Li Xiuying begged with all her might hoping Hao Yixuan to accept her request.

Yixuan frowned and walked away ignoring her.
'What a waste of time!'

A man with grey hair wearing black clothes appeared in from of Yixuan and bowed.
"Sorry, young miss. Sir Lei is busy at the moment. He is attending an important party. The madam wishes for you to return to the Xiao mansion as soon as possible."
"Let's go." She said with a bright smile on her face as she grabbed her language in her hand walking into her car.
Li Xiuying was left at the bar.
